beergin
AM thinking of getting PS3 just because of Gran Turismo... (4 ba yung latest or 5 na? yung sumunod sa prologue...) anyway, just wondering if gran turismo is available in the other platforms (ie xbox or pc)... Quote Link to comment
bastus1n
PS3. Sirain xbox 360 pag matagalang gamit. Quote Link to comment
deijitaru
you don't need to buy a wifi adapter in order to play online with the 360. it has an ethernet port that you can connect with (which is basically faster and more stable than wifi anyway). comparing the add-ons you'd buy isn't really necessary. microsoft gives you what you need from the start. if you don't need a wifi adapter, then don't buy it. if you're not going to play online, don't pay for xbox live gold. jengjeng
yeah.. the xbox360 has an ethernet port...yes it is more stable. if you have it connected via this... so does the ps3 .. you could also connect a ethernet cable to it well.. i guess it really just depends on the situation/setup of the user... if for example.. you have a setup that uses a wifi connection.. (less wires) like mine.. well you'll need a wifi adapter... for the xbox.. (but wouldn't it be cool to connect you're console to your laptop / pc ???? ) ............if you're an avid gamer.. wouldn't it be more cost effective to have a rechargeable controller? .....or if you just play for leisure and not most of the time.. those double A batt for the 360 would hold on... ................................also .. as for the memory.. if im not mistaken.. the ps3 has a built in one already.. but.. for the xbox you'll need to buy a harddrive... (jasper edition...)just to save you're games into.. but... if you're the type of guy.. that can live with using the cds.. then its your choice (it depends on the bundle you'll buy) ....................................if you're into movies.. and has a flat screen HDTV . i would suggest you go for the ps3... ... since the ps3 is capable of playing blu rays... (the original ones.. the one worth around 1500++)can you say 1080p (droooool) im not just quite sure for the 360... .... ... but if for example you're playing online for a game in ps3... versus the same game in xbox360.. wouldn't it be cost effective to have the ps3? ... you'll be enjoying the same stuff.. when in the xbox you'll need to subscribe? ...and pay for it... >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>play hours.. differs.. since we are in a tropical country... most of the time it would be hot here... i have tried and played A ps3.. for 8 hours straight.. thankfully its still here .. standing.. and around a year old.. as for the xbox.. (jasper ed) the longest time i have it turned on was around 4 hours..sad to say when you're in the meat grinder in certain games.. it gives an awful feeling to turn it off because it might have the ring of death...when turned on for the longest time... ....................................................just a little more info... according to a technical guy from data blitzthese would be the usual problems the problem with ps3 would be in their lens...(if im not mistaken) the problem with xbox360 would be its ring of death when it overheats... as of the last time i talked with the guy... there seemed to be no problem with the new jasper edition... as long as you play it around 3-4hours at the most... .................................................................................... well bottom line... if you have the money .. to spend.. it would be nice to be able to have them both... hehehe if you're looking for a basic package.. not wanting to experience online games, other amenities.. and the like... xbox 360 would be okay... if you have the extra money to give... the ps3 would be the choice... but dont make a conclusion that making the xbox360 at par.. with the stuff that you get with a normal ps3 would cost you minimal...it would cost you a bit more... and would defeat the purpose if you have a budget .................................................................... heck.. when i saw project natal.. i was really impressed.... (just wondering.. would it be just an add on for the 360 or would there be a new console needed for it? ....) anyway... there.. it really depends on the buyer and the user >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> i guess the buyer just needs to weigh the pros and cons of the consoles...... because only the buyer would know his situation... methos
I'd still go for PS3. Let's just say I'm sick and tired of seeing and hearing all those 'issues' for the 360. . . Quote Link to comment

phidze
Performance wise I think PS3 got the edge, what can I say BLUERAY rules... but games availability ( particular pirated disc ), XBOX got the numbers. Quote Link to comment

jengjeng
@reggie .. i think thats a little bit ot.. but what the heck... hdtv is somewhat connected to ps3 and xbox hehehe>>>just some of my experiences... hd tv.. with any console would definitely give you a hard on... figuratively of course.. anyway... to better appreciate..such graphics... at least 42 inches is needed... (read that from one of the magz i have here.. just can't remember) and please.. do get one that has 1080p... not anything less... (some shops would sell.. "hdtvs" with discount and great bundles.. but behold.. they are of the lesser quality and lower ratings...)but yes they would be more affordable since they are of ... old stocks ... going to get an hdtv.. is somewhat not reallyaffordable??its more of an investment... i guess for a crisp.. and eye dropping experience you'll need around 100k easy if you want to get something great.. but.. if you would suffice with something smaller.. i saw something on the newspaper.. it said that its selling a "HDTV" ... for around 19,999 if you get one before december something.. real price is at 25thou.. im not just so sure about this..it goes by the company name of gcube.. or xcube... im not just so sure.. i can't quite remember...it seems they also sell computer stuff and other security cams/products.. just can't remember their company name >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.a little more ot anyway.. you wont go wrong with a sharp... .. go for a 32 inch.. i guess.. that size would be around the 40thou budget...(not that sure of the pricing now a days) just something i learned... sony is great with advertisement... and all.. but i foundout.. that its sharp that makes sony's panels... and sony just "upgrade it with their software"plus "they sweaten" their deal with "free" speakers and players that aren't really that good .. and "they aren't really free" because you can opt not to get them.. and get a few more thou for discount... just some marketing ploy... anyway thats what i heard.. from the guy incharge of the flat hdtvs in the store i bought it from... so.. and a little chika... a certain personality who endorses sony .. got a few gifts... from one of her other endorsers... with her blessing/choosing of course...she went with sharp flat screens... anyway just some chika /////////////////////////in terms of a hdtv.. i got a 46inch sharp hehehe............. dropped around 100+ on this baby... >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>... basta the only tip i could give talaga is to .. go around... do some window shopping and look for a great guy that is manning the lcd/flat screen area of the store(like abenson, and other appliance store shop...etc....) and be friendly with the guys so they can give you tips on what to pick... and great discounts good luck and god bless on looking for a nice hdtv >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> para di na ot... until now i stand by my answer.. ps3 hands down... hehehehe.. still have a great time with it... and just played mw2.. for 7 hours straight online.. and its still standing yeah my xbox is just gather dust... even if i bought the left 4 dead 2 game... well.. its just still there...
