several reasons maybe...

1. it's used more than the right one

2. the distance from the left mouse button to your ear is different from the distance from the right one, so the acoustics are different and we hear it differently

3. the internal structure of a mouse (which i haven't seen) may be affecting the sound that comes out of it when you click the buttons
