this is going to sound hackneyed, but i found the u.s. the most interesting and memorable for the amount of things i saw and learned. significant because my hollywood-fed presumptions about its history and its people were proven wrong over and over again. plus it's just naturally beautiful. i mean...to stand alone on a protruding rock and take in even just one part of the grand canyon...no words.
