neither. any kind or form of genocide is just plain despicable. there's no justifying any of that.

the Final Solution, i think, was more despicable because it was systematic, efficient, and directed at one particular group (the Jews were Hitler's countrymen, too). that's not to suggest in any way that Stalin, whose k*ll count grows higher every year as more documents are revealed, was a slightly better creature. in terms of evil, the nazis and the communists were equally so in my book.

@dungeonbaby: i don't know. i think he just wants to shy away from asking the usual questions, and then make people think or research his questions.

@nick: i wouldn't. if i want to get answers, i think i can get a whole team of researchers to do that instead of singling out and potentially offending another leader with questions about disasters. that's almost like adding insult to injury, or simply rubbing it.

@nick: questions that don't need a lot of thinking to answer. i'm here to relax, not to battle wits. besides, it's not like everyone else here's interested in what i have to say.

@dungeonbaby: i just like answering questions when i can. i don't post in so many other threads. this is the one thread that i go to for both relaxation and information.
