junix
as long as ginebra plays with a lot of heart...with the never-say-die attitude, kahit na may twice to beat advantage pa yang alaska na yan, kaya nating patumbahin yan. kudos to all the players. talagang lumaban lahat. teka...si baracael nagkakalat. takbong mayaman pa din tsk tsk tsk 1 Quote Link to comment

junix
Dont forget the heart of Eman Monfort. Ang ingay kanina sa CR ng Araneta at sa lobby. *kalel*
I was frolicking with the win and eventual entry of the kings to the qf.... naging very exciting yung laro and kahit na masyadong mababa ang chances, the team delivered.... I liked how fl shuffled his troops...kaso nga lang there were questionable moments na masyadong babad yung marcelo kahit na me mga lapses sa decision to.... at siguro dapat ipasok lang ng mas maaga yung kim para mag init at matantya yung mga tira nya... first time ko yatang nag cheer sa koreano hehehe... Bumabalik yung disapproval ko sa trade ke sol... limited yung galaw nya compared ke yeo...buti na lang he delivered sa mga crucial parts nung game.... si pena is becoming a good acquisition kaso baka mag karoon ng strat na hack-a-pinya... hehehe i would still prefer billy or jr over him.... La clicked and showed why he is one of the top pgs in the league... sana wag na syang toyoin.... ginebra has the best front court and to me the most complete pg... oj is the best import around.... brondial is fast becoming their all around guy... good formula to go beyond qf... did oj guard mandaly in the 4thq? Gandang switch nun... Well, looking forward to the alaska game tomorrow Quote Link to comment

No effort to block their shots. Sayang ang wingspan at tangkad niya. Mas may matinding defensive weapon si Marcelo although the kid is just a rookie and a greenhorn. I see Marcelo developing into a present day Noli Locsin na may tira sa medium range. OK na ako kay Sol Mercado. And JayJay, now I think umabot na sa mind niya na mag retire. Sayang slot niya para makakuha pa ng isang magaling na player. Naging problema ni Yeo yung bulong ng dalawang Divas. Nasasapawan na kasi sila. Quote Link to comment

daphne loves derby
Manny Pacquiao says he wants to help 'favorite team' Ginebra make PBA playoffsRead more at http://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/news/manny-pacquiao-kia-playing-coach-pba-philippines-basketball-ginebra-fan-boxing#YFFwRw747kWqHq2Z.99 MANNY Pacquiao surprised a lot of people when he showed up for KIA's final game in the PBA Governors Cup eliminations against Meralco on Wednesday afternoon.Pacquiao, who has been away from KIA games for a long time, said he wants to boost the morale of the Carnival and at the same time help Barangay Ginebra make the playoffs. At 4-6 (win-loss), Ginebra needs a KIA win of no more than 17 points against Meralco and a win against also-ran NLEX in the other half of the double-header to catch the last bus to the eight-team playoffs.“Oo, gusto ko makapasok ang Ginebra," said the boxing hero and KIA playing-coach. "Kahit kaunting tulong sa side ko, makatulong ako kasi madami fans yung team eh.”True enough, Kia looked inspired by Pacquiao's presence, even posting a nine-point lead in the second quarter.“Syempre, pag andyan si champ, kakaka-inspire lumaro. Saka nakakahiya na matalo, all-out support niya sa amin eh,” said KIA shooting guard Leo Avenido.Pacquiao, who was once an endorser of Ginebra with his mother Dionisia, also has one message to the barangay.“Tiwala lang. May chance yan. Syempre, kailangan ng prayers,” he said.Unknown to many, Pacquiao was a big fan of Ginebra growing up in General Santos City. His brother Bobby said the boxing hero never missed watching a Ginebra game in their black-and-white TV set.“Bata pa lang kami talagang lagi kaming sumusubaybay ng Ginebra. Si Kuya Manny, diehard fan ng Ginebra yan,” said Bobby. “Favorite ni kuya si (Robert) Jaworski saka si Bal David saka sila Noli Locsin at Vince Hizon.“Buong pamilya kami nun, tutok sa TV 'pag may laro Gordon’s Gin (old name of Ginebra)”Pacquiao’s head of security, Caloy Homo, told Spin.ph Pacquiao is still recuperating from shoulder surgery and his appearance at the Smart Araneta Coliseum was not really planned.“Biglaan lang 'yan. Kasi di pa siya talaga pwede manood dahil hindi pa fully healed yung balikat niya,” said Homo. “Kaso gusto nga daw niyang samahan yung team, kaya bigla kaming dating dito.”NLEX Road Warriors star center Asi Taulava bared he already had an inkling on why Pacquiao was at the Big Dome when he arrived.“I knew, he’d want to motivate KIA but it’s a different story when it comes to Ginebra. It’s a tough season for us (at NLEX). This conference didn’t fall our way becase of injuries,” said Taulava.“But we’ll do everything to beat Ginebra later. What a better way to go on vacation and take somebody with you,” he added.Taulava believes that Pacquiaos presence at the KIA bench somehow inspired Kia players to play well against Meralco.“Kia is really playing inspired ball with the champ. Manny is a one-man motivation crew. Just for his legacy, these guys are inspired to play tonight."Ginebra star enter Gregory Slaughter was happy to hear the reason behind Pacquiao's appearance.“That’s great. But you know they have something on the line, too, and Manny wants KIA to win. It’s a great move by their head coach to inspire the team even though the game is no longer of that bearing for them,” said Slaughter.“But Pacquiao’s willingness to help us (Ginebra) in his little ways is just simply wow,” added the 2013 top overall pick. Gandang switch nun... Well, looking forward to the alaska game tomorrow di naman masyadong masama ang FT% ni dorian. if i remember correctly he canned 2 pressure packed FTs in a ginebra win recently. yes, OJ switched on mandaly in the 4th. yes, LA delivered when it mattered most. i think he is really looking forward to that qf match against alaska. will it be payback time? hack a pinya would not work besides hindi naman sya tumitira. anyway kelangan manalo bukas, kasi kung hindi eh wala rin, nakapasok sa qf pero eliminate agad sayang naman.nsd for life hehe. chief, habang may butas pang nakikita, laban lang tayo. i believe the nsd spirit is already coming back. 12.5% of advancing to the next round?...nagawa natin. last night?...14 points down, nanalo tayo. kaya natin yan basta nandyan ang suporta. Is it me or talagang bumagal ata si OJ ngayon? if not for emman's heart, spunk and energy, malamang noon pa nag-boracay ang ginebra chief. i think he was one step slower last night...though he had some clutch baskets. could be an off-night? let's see how he plays tomorrow...the most important game of his pba tour. junix
Thing I've observed from yesterday's game1. LA is pushing the ball at every chance but nobody is running with him even the tv analysts noticed this...wala daw kasabay si LA na tumatakbo. 2. Big men rarely get touches inside the shaded area true...it was a good thing the 3s were falling in the 4th. 3. Too many offensive rebounds for the opponent yes...even borboran had too many putbacks/tip-ins against greg. 4. Poor transition defense mandaly had a lot of easy layups due to costly TOs. 5. Poor ball movement there are instances that their offense is stagnant Quote Link to comment
