i hope ginebra learned its lesson last year...while jbl is versatile and a great find, he was helpless against bigger imports specially during the semis... with or without greg, for me, the way forward is to have a big import for this conference... it comes as a surprise to me why the gins released a tried and tested big in vmack

BARANGAY Ginebra gets a boost and takes a setback at the same with some development on its froncourt rotation for its PBA Commissioner's Cup match against Blackwater on Friday night at the Alonte Sports Arena in Biñan, Laguna.

 

Greg Slaughter is set to make his conference debut after being out with a severe ankle sprain, but Joe Devance is questionable due to a new knee injury.

 

"We're expecting Greg to play some minutes tomorrow, so we're back to being a little bit healthy," Gin Kings coach Tim Cone told SPIN.ph after practice on Thursday.

 

Cone also bared that Jervy Cruz could be back next week after being sidelined with a different injury.

 

Devance, though, has been playing through an injury on his left knee that he believes he sustained in a tune-up game last month.

 

The 6-foot-7 utility man underwent an MRI test on Wednesday and expects the result to come out late Thursday to determine if he can suit up against the Elite or not.

 

"We're concerned about Joe who's having a knee issue, so we don't know how long he'll be out," Cone said. "So it's a struggle for us right now, but we expect ourselves to smooth ourselves out."

Well.....................Not really impressed with Garcia. I thought tuloy tuloy na ang dominant play niya nuon first half. Second half forgettable ulit. Tim should have placed his bangko team a little bit earlier. Problema kasi kapag may na injure taranta kung sino ang ipapasok. Nice win but not really that impressive

Blackwater is still groping for form and seeking chemistry due to new coach and teammates.Good thing early natin sila nakalaban.I would say this team will be solid once they become coherent.
