Si Japeth pang ganun lng ata talaga katawan nyan arang si Anthony Davis ng NBA. Payatot na agile pang PF lng di pwedeng pang Center kundi bugbog sa loob. Still a good feat, Finals pa din ang Ginebra.

Nothing to be ashamed of ang Ginebra, despite the absence of Greg umabot sila sa finals for 2 straight conference. Napuna ko kagabi, mas ok ang depensa ni Dave Marcelo ke Junemar kesa ke Japeth, hirap s'ya pag si Dave ang tumatao sa kanya. Kung si Brownlee ang import nila for the 2nd conference, tingin ko Ginebra would be in contention kahit wala pa si Greg. Sayang lang kagabi, limited ang players na pinasok ni Coach Tim, Eliis might have helped their cause kaso 'di ginamit, while si Ferrer limited ang minutes at di na ginamit ulit

Nonetheless,...they exceeded expectations as they came from 7th place, plagued by injuries most notable of which is the supposed match of JuneMar, rookies being matched with seasoned SMB players, and fatigue (they went thru longer series of playoffs).

Off topic: paano nakapasa ang smb sa salary cap, sobrang all star naman ksi, ultimo mga bangko star material (AVO, McCarthy, et al) pag dinala sa ibang team

 

I beg to disagree mga bro, i don't think all star or powerhouse ang line up ng SMB. nadevelop lang naman yung cohesiveness nung starters nila, because they have a Big Man at Shooters, at babad sila palagi sa laro, imagine nag average each player nila ng 36 to 38mins playing time.

kahit sa mga international competition, Shooters at Big man talaga ang nagdadala ng panalo doon.

Take note that same SMB starters plus their prolific import (Millsap) and tinalo ng Gins (without Greg Slaughter) last conference during their "Do or Die" game 5 semi-finals and they beat SMB by almost 30 points.

Yung mga second unit ng SMB like Yancy De Ocampo, JR Reyes, Espinas at Tubid,.. etc i don't think they have same caliber with their starters, i don't think they are star players, mga aging players na din mga ito at nasa twilight zone na din ng mga career nila. They are just good as a replacement or sub player para naman mapahinga yung starters ng SMB.

yung mga rookies ng SMB? i don't think they are also star material, kung nakuha nila si Mac Belo, Mathew Wright, or Jio Jalalon baka mag agree pa ako.

Leo Austria already admitted na mas malalim pa ang bench ng ibang teams compare sa kanila. na develop lang talaga ng husto yung starters ng SMB both offense and defense. Pero kung wala si Fajardo? mahihirapan ang SMB mag champion...dahil kapag na check mo si Junmar? Lockdown na din ang shooters ng SMB.

even si Arwind Santos na 35y/o na, eh umaasa na lang ito sa 3 point shot at garbage basket.

if we look at the bench of smb, hanggang pito lang malamang ang pwede mong asahan. the first 5 plus tubid and espinas. malakas lang talaga ang starting 5. i also agree with you chief that in order for ginebra to be a threat, outside shooting should be consistent.

I think the shooting coach should focus on Scottie para ma develop ang outside shooting skills nya, with his talent now mas madami sya papahirapan na guard kapag naging consistent yung outside shooting nya.
