azraelmd
mas kumikita saw sila sa trading business kesa sa sales ng product nila bwahahahahaha... mas sarcastic May halong truth dyan kung papansinin nyo among the teams sa PBA, halos lahat big business corporation yun iba or isa dyan medyo doesnt belong in that group nde mo masisisi na mas lucrative yun pagiging trading partners with the other teams, pagkakarinig ko from some of my friends may kasamang cash pa yan para naman madagdagan yun capital nila... Buti pa nga yun isang team headed by a certain peoples champ, seryosong umangat at palakasin ang team nya eh Biro biro nga namin dun sa 2 teams na yan eh,mas unang lalakas yun kay peoples champ pero mas lalago yun capital naman nun isa hehehe Edited October 28, 2016 by azraelmd Quote Link to comment
crunk
SMC teams exchange picks before PBA draft Some rules were apparently not honored by some PBA teams shortly after a special draft for 12 Gilas Cadet players was completed during what a source said was a tumultuous PBA board meeting last Thursday. When the smoke cleared from the seven-hour meeting, sources said sister teams Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and Star reportedly agreed to trade their respective picks. A source said that Jio Jalalon, reportedly picked by Star, will be sent to Barangay Ginebra San Miguel for Kevin Ferrer. The trade was approved by the board during their meeting last Thursday but not without the proest of some teams, the source said. The teams will announce its choices in tomorrow’s PBA Rookie Draft at the Robinsons Place in Ermita, Manila. The transaction made by the San Miguel Corporation franchises is intriguing since league rules prohibit sister teams from direct trades, unless a third party or when a conduit is involved. Also intriguing was the the violation of an earlier decision which prevents PBA teams from trading the Gilas Cadets for at least two years. The reported trade came a day after the board announced that Gilas players were selected in a pre-determined order although tomorrow’s process will be announced via alphabetical order. Should he indeed end up playing for Ginebra, Jalalon would fulfill his wish of playing under coach Tim Cone and former NCAA rival Scottie Thompson. The only one who could not be traded is Mac Belo, the 6-foot-4 forward from Far Eastern University in the UAAP and Phoenix of the PBA D-League. He was reportedly picked by Blackwater after the conclusion of the board meeting the other day. Matthew Wright is set to go to Phoenix under Ariel Vanguardia, his coach when he helped the Westports Malaysia Dragons win the ASEAN Basketball League title. Russell Escoto is heading to Mahindra, Arnold Van Opstal to San Miguel Beer, Ed Daquioag to NLEX, Mike Tolomia to Rain or Shine and Roger Pogoy to Meralco. Three teams have yet to announce their respective picks from Gilas, namely TNT Katropa, Globalport and Alaska, while the remaining choices are Carl Bryan Cruz, Alfonso Gotladera and Von Pessumal. The special draft for Gilas was created by the SBP and the PBA in order for the national team players to play in the pro league. Under the agreement, the players will be pulled from their mother teams as soon as the Gilas training camp under coach Chot Reyes begins. Each of the 12 PBA teams will also allow one regular player from its roster that will eventually be named by Reyes to the national team pool to participate in the preparation for international competitions. *kalel*
http://hoops.ph/brgy-ginebra-sends-kevin-ferrer-to-star-for-jio-jalalon/ is jio better than kevin? a 5'10" guard for a 6'5" forward.... hhhmmmmm kung totoo, sobrang galing nito... Quote Link to comment
calvinzero
For now, Jalalon is over-rated. He is not yet facing the tough and physical players of the PBA such as Abueva, Belga et.al. Quote Link to comment

Very physical ang laro sa NCAA.Kaya nga sanay sa bangaan si Scottie because of that. By the way, NCAA players din si Abueva(Baste) and Belga(PCU) Quote Link to comment
azraelmd
Dami nang guards eh...ferrer nlang...they really need a better wingman, no disrespect to ellis ha but ferrer would make their player rotation solid. On the other hand, SMB is shoring up their frontlines, perhaps alam na nila na mahihirapan sila sa GSM pag nandyan na si greg. Edited October 29, 2016 by azraelmd Quote Link to comment
photographer
For now, Jalalon is over-rated. He is not yet facing the tough and physical players of the PBA such as Abueva, Belga et.al. I would agree on this. I have watched him play and there are tendencies na maging buwaya sa bola. Also minsan mali decision sa pagtira ng bola. Mga plays niya na ikakaputok ng butchi ni yeng guiao. And he does not do rebounding chores just like our Scottie and Sol Quote Link to comment

Ako din Boss mas gusto ko rin yung Ferrer sa GSM kc mabangis pa nmn yung backcourt natin at kulang tlaga tayo sa shooter na wings.. I just imagine L.A, Thompson, Ferrer, Aguilar, Slaugther at first5. napakarami possibilities both offense and defense nito.. Quote Link to comment
photographer
Ginebra's 6-foot-11 practice player Jericho de Guzman feels he's ready to jump into big showFrom: Gerry RamosOctober 29, 2016, 05:00 pm Ginebra's 6-foot-11 practice player Jericho de Guzman feels he's ready to jump into big showJericho de Guzman says months spent as a practice player at Ginebra where he trained under the watchful eyes of Tim Cone and Kirk Collier have made him a much better player. Jerome AscanoHIS name may not ring a bell to many scouts and coaches present during the PBA Rookie Draft Combine for two straight days at the Gatorade Hoops Center. But the confidence of Jericho De Guzman is as high as his towering 6-foot-11 height. Thanks to an entire conference working out and playing with reigning Governors Cup champion Barangay Ginebra, the former College of St. Benilde center is convinced he has what it takes to be selected by any of the 12 teams out of the 53 aspirants in Sunday’s Annual Rookie Draft at the Robinsons Midtown in Ermita, Manila. The 27-year-old native of Concepcion, Tarlac, the tallest of all rookie applicants as per record listed by the league, served as practice player of the Kings during their campaign in the season-ending tournament that saw them end an eight-year title drought by beating the Meralco Bolts in six games of the finals. And he has no less than coach Tim Cone, trainer Kirk Collier, and some of Ginebra’s big men as mentors.“Yung confidence ko tumaas nung andun ako (sa Ginebra), kasi pinupush nila ako, sinusuportahan,” he said. “Tinuturuan nila ako. Kung mali, tinatama nila, at kung tama naman, pinapatuloy nila.“Parang family talaga ako doon.”[see Blackwater set to make Ael Banal the top pick overall of regular PBA draft]De Guzman’s height alone easily attracts attention, but he said he can offer more than just his size. Although aware of the abundance of talent in this year’s draft, De Guzman, who suited up for Aguilas and Boracay Rhum in the PBA D-League, said he has become a better player since he started working out with the Kings five months ago.“Habang nagpa-practice ako doon, marami akong natutunan. Si coach Tim araw-araw niya akong tinuturuan, nung mga smarts, pini-feed niya sa akin yun,” he said. “Si coach Kirk araw-araw kaming nag-eensayo sa skills, sa mga galaw, sa conditioning.”image: http://contents.spin.ph/image/2016/10/29/jericho-deguzman2-ascano.jpgIt was his former college coach Richard del Rosario, the top deputy of Cone, who offered him the chance to join the Kings in practice by giving him a call prior to the start of the season’s final conference.[see Belo looks forward to playing alongside FEU elder Miranda at Blackwater]The experience ended on a positive note as the Kings rallied from a 1-2 series deficit by winning the next three games of the title series to beat the Bolts for the crown. What made the championship doubly special for De Guzman was it came right on his birthday.“Nung nag champion sila that day, October 19, it was my birthday,” he disclosed. “So parang blessing sa akin 'yun. Sobrang saya ko nung araw na yun.”Hopefully, it will be the same thing for him come Draft Day. *kalel*
they do not need another point guard... they need a 6'4"-6'7" wing who can shoot the long ball and who can defend... just my opinion... MANAGEMENT is a better judge on these moves Quote Link to comment
azraelmd
Ang problema, yun star din daming guards lalo na nandyan na si paul lee, so malamang ipamimigay talaga nila si jalalon...sana si CTC magbago yun isip... Ot baka naman smokescreen lang yan, since bawal nga naman makipagtrade ang sister team lalo na gilas draft picks pa, we might still end up with ferrer... Ang nakakatakot na lineup yun SMB...nagbubuild up sila ng roster para pantapat sa GSM, pagnandyan na si greg, may pantapat na tayo kay fajardo, sila naman ang mawawalan ng pantapat kay japhet, as shown nun semis GSM vs SMB...with von opstal, arwind can play as SF na... Before the injury, si AVO parang mas aggressive na japhet athletic din, kaso nun nag gilas cadet natataranta na cya at foul trouble na lagi... Now imagine kung si ferrer mapunta satin, may pantapat naman tayo sa mga newsomes, jazul, jeff chan, fonaciers and lassiters...matangkad si ferrer at may depensa pa...
