Well, knowing Tim Cone's past import choices... Mapapalitan yan pag nagkaron ng complications or pag nagsunod sunod ang mga talo. Ilang beses na ba nyang ginawa yan sa kabila.

he is obviously looking for a blakely type of Import dito kay Jeffers. A small import that can bang inside, get rebounds, shoot from the outside and post up. Perfect for the triangle as it may seems.

 

and he is coming from a successful D league stint so who knows, he might be the missing link to the SF position (our weakest)

inamin naman ni CTC na first choice nya sina Blakely at Bowles, but since hindi sila pwede at gahol na din daw siya sa panahon, kahit na maaga naman na eliminate ang Ginebra, si Jeffers na lang ang kinuha nya.

hindi ko pa nabalitaan na nagpalit ng import si CTC dahil hindi magaling ang nakuha nya, ang alam ko lagi panalo ang nakukuha nyang imports like si Blakely, Hayes and Bowles... baka sa Ginebra lang siya magkamali at maaga na naman magbakasyon ang Barangay... sana ako ang mali.

I remember an import by Alaska that was replaced in the mid-season of Commissioner's Cup sometime in the 90s. That was the very talented/athletic Derek Hamilton.

Meron ako, most recent lang. Daniel Orton. After a bad game and a loss, and the controVersial PBA is a joke comment, ayun. pinalitan. Kaya nga naging 6'9" bigla si Bowles kahit na hindi eh.

 

 

Anywho, Jeffers only PBA records show a 38pts 11rebs performance in a win vs Meralco. So medyo unscouted pa to.

I doubt kung kayang bantayan ng twin towers yung malalaking import. They are too soft. Kelangan nila yung versatile. Yung pwede maglaro inside and outside. I think denzel bowles is a good choice.

 

Me point ka, kaso ang rights kina Blakely at Bowles ay nasa star pa din yata at 'di nila basta-basta i-waive o iibigay ang rights na 'yun

Malkaas yan pinakawalan lang ng tnt dahil sa nba contract nya .. pero all around 3 guy un naman butas sa ginebra 3 kasi walang wingman na shooter..

 

 

Othyus Jeffers was once an NBA D-League MVP, so that might count for something.
