No choice na talaga kundi sina Johnny A. Kevin White ang maghati sa PG chores, I think that Johnny A. would be playing major minutes dahil 'di pa kayang dalhin ni White ang team lalo na during the crucial stages ng laro....

Brings me to a question.........sa pagkaganda gandang laro ni Topex, why is it that no team wants to get his services? May attitude problem kaya? Puwedeng puwede siya sa Ginebra (as of now kasi depleted ang guard position nila) but the thing is, medyo, nagtataka talaga ako hindi siya kinukuha ng ibang teams.

Veteran point guard Johnny Abarrientos quarterbacked Baranhay Ginebra’s offense with aplomb as the Kings downed the Barako Bull Energy Boosters, 88-76, in the KFC-PBA Philippine Cup Friday night at the Araneta Coliseum.

 

Leading a depleted Ginebra squad, Abarrientos displayed his old deadly form in orchestrating the Kings’ running game while scattering six points, issuing six assists and grabbing three rebounds in 29 minutes of action.

 

Ginebra, which boosted its bid for one of two outright Final Four berths, improved its record to 7-3, just two games behind leader Alaska (9-1).

 

Ronald Tubid, despite playing with a dislocated left ring finger, had a gamehigh 30 points for Ginebra on 11-of-20 shooting from the field, including 5-of-10 from the three-point area. Eric Menk had 18 points and 10 boards while JC Intal added 14.

 

Jayjay Helterbrand, the reigning league Most Valuable Player (MVP), sat out another game with a bruised right knee and is expected to miss two more weeks, while Celino Cruz fractured his left wrist in a recent game. The Gin Kings are also without Mark Caguioa who has a knee injury.

Ginebra coach Jong Uichico credited his players for coming out strong despite their injury problems, particularly Abarrientos, who recently came out of retirement to sign a new a contract until the end of the conference.

Hanep ang nilaro ni White, streak shooter pala s'ya, dumikit na at lumamang pa sila kaso pinalitan si White then instead of moving the ball sa offense nila nag one-on-one si Mamaril while pinipilit ni Baguio to score again 2 or 3 defenders, nasayang ang effort ni White during the time na naghahabol sila. Also, sana 'di na pinalitan ni Jong si White at pinasok si Johnny A., bata naman si White so he can play longer minutes, yes veteran si Johnny and you want a veteran inside during crunch time kaso 'di naman naka-score si Johnny A. noong nasa loob s'ya, mas maganda pa pinagsabay sila, mainit si White bakit nilabas, come on Jong! Bad trip natalo pa sila sa bakya at baklang team!!

Actually, ganyan ang style ni Jong, kapag mainit ka, papalitan ka. Remember the days with his bf na si Lanete? Ang gaganda ng laro ng mga nsa loob ng court then biglang ipapasok si Lanete. Sakit na ni Jong yan! Dapat sa San Miguel mag coach si Jong, maski sino ipasok parang first five. Nakaka frustrate nga ang style ni Jong.(or baka may pusta siya sa kalabang team?) hehehe. Sana nga retain nila si Artadi at inilipat na lang si Jong sa ibang sister team. Paano makakapag compiyansa sa sarili players mo kung parating ganyang ang style ng coaching?
