Yeah he would be a good choice, sana available s'ya, aside from Nealy old reliables like Chris Porter, Torraye Braggs, Marqueen Chandler and even Gerald Honeycutt (who 1st played for them before being hired by tnt) should be considered, kabisado na ng mga 'to ang klase ng laro sa PBA..

Bro akala ko 2 daw ang imports for the next conference....

Ang alam ko saer un 9th and 10th team sa elim ang may 2 import..6'6 height limit den nde lang ko sure kung ano height limit ng isa..Next season 3 na uli ang conference...Bck to AFC,Commisioner and Governor's Cup..

Akala ko lahat ng teams 2 imports, anyways, the more they need to get someone who is 6'6 and isn't afraid to bang bodies inside the shaded area, may medium range jumper, can get the rebounds at shot blocker....

THREE-WAY TRADE SENDS ALLADO, CANALETA TO PUREFOODS

Monday, 26 January 2009

REPORTS gathered by SportsNews.ph that a three-team trade involving Purefoods, Ginebra and Burger King (formerly known as Air21) has been completed.

In an interview with player-agent Danny Espiritu in Monday morning‘s Sports Chat, Purefoods acquired Don Allado and the high-flying Nino Canaleta from Burger King. In return the Giants gave up Beau Belga, Chad Alonzo, Chico Lanete and their 2013 draft pick.

Espiritu however could not confirm how Burger King dealt with Ginebra although a reliable source told SportsNews.ph that Burger King shipped Lanete and former Ateneo Blue Eagle stars Dough Kramer and JC Intal for two future draft picks of the Gin Kings.

This will be Allado’s fourth team in the league after debuting for Alaska before being traded to Talk ’N Text. He was later traded to Air21 for Ranidel De Ocampo towards the end of this conference’s elimination round.

From what I read before, may health problem yata si Intal. Something like hindi siya masyado pinagpapawisan. Also, there was a sex scandal na involved siya (video). But he is a good player. Puede pamalit kina Caguioa at Junthy for the meantime.

Chico Lanete, puede rin in place in Caguioa katulong ni JJ Helterbrand. Itong All Filipino kasi, masyadong pagod si JJ.

Doug Kramer not the big man that BGK really needs pero puede na rin pansingit sa rotation. Hopefully, e-enhance lang yung skills niya. I remember, siya ang bantay ni Menk nung last Reinforced Conference where BGK won and Menk was the game MVP.

Allado at Canaleta, wow! They will do the rest

'Yun yatang health problem ni intal nagamot na, dati kasi totally 'di daw pinapawisan si intal (based on what 've read sa mga sportscasters noon), kaya nawala s'ya sa ere21 then bumalik na noong last conference pa yata, kung 'di pa talaga solved 'yung health problem n'ya then this trade is somewhat reminiscent of the Bong Solomon (of alaska traded to Ginebra in exchanged for a future draft pick of Ginebra), it turns out si Solomon may diperensya na sa mata (at virtually blind na nga daw sabi ni Jawo noon) at ang nakuha ng alaska sa future draft pick na binigay ng Ginebra is none other than Jeffrey Cariaso. On a side note, naging Ginebra Blue Eagles na yata sila hehe..

^Coke is not part of SMC umbrella anymore...

The trade was initiated dahil masyadong malalaki ang sweldo ni KG at Allado for the Burger King to handle so binigay na lng sa SMC. To think wla nman recently mgaling ng Rookies from Amateur League for the next season draft, ang problem lang ay kung may dumating na certified Fil-Am player to join the Draft yun ang talo ng SMC.

Too many Guards na ang BGK, so might be for trade offer din cna Intal at Kramer sa ibang team.

AIR21, PUREFOODS & GINEBRA IN PLAYER CAROUSEL

Allado, Canaleta newest Giants; Kings welcome Intal, Kramer, Lanete

Monday, 26 January 2009

It could well be known on Tuesday if Air21 will sport a new name starting the coming PBA Fiesta Conference.

If ever, the Express will come out in the next conference with a new name, a new coach and a new look.

Air21 on Monday close trade deals with Purefoods and Barangay Ginebra, getting a major change in its lineup while hoping the PBA Board approves its bid for a name change – Air21 to Burger King – in a meeting Tuesday at the PBA office in Libis, Quezon City.

The Express gave away Don Allado, Nino Canaleta, JC Intal and Doug Kramer, and in return gained Beau Belga, Chad Alonzo and three future picks (Ginebra's first round selections in 2012 and 2013 and another from Purefoods).

Allado and Canaleta went to Purefoods while Intal and Doug Kramer moved over to Ginebra. Chico Laneta was part of the deal, first going to Air21 before ending up with Ginebra.

"We got a surplus of players on the entry of Cyrus Baguio and Celino Cruz. What we did was to balance our lineup with a properly-planned trade deal," said Air21 governor and team manager Lito Alvarez.

"We didn't opt for draft picks in the near future because we're happy with the lineup we've got. We opted for 2012 and 2013, thinking that's the time the likes of Wynne Arboleda and Homer Se are retiring," Alvarez added.

Alvarez also believes the movement will serve in good stead all the players concerned.

"Arwind Santos is playing around 35 minutes a game for us. So more or less 13 minutes are left for KG (Canaleta) and JC (Intal). I think, KG and JC will get more exposure in their new teams," explained Alvarez, adding the same on the cases of Allado and Kramer.

The Giants and the Kings, meanwhile, welcomed their new recruits with open arms.

"We filled in our injured spots," said Ginebra coach Jong Uichico.

"Don Allado will help us strengthen our rotation at center spot. He has a deadly perimeter jumper and solid post moves. He is also one of the best post defenders in the league. KG, on the other hand, is an explosive athlete who can score from the inside and all the way from the three-point area. He's a consistent scorer who can compliment the games of Kerby Raymundo, James Yap and Rico Villanueva," said Purefoods coach Ryan Gregorio.

"We had problems in scoring last conference. I hope with Allado and Canaleta on board, our inability to score can be addressed," Gregorio added. (NC)
