I agree...KFer is not living up to the expectations; He was a known 3-point specialist before coming to the PBA, but his plays as of late ay mababa ang 3-pt percentage niya

sa tingin ko lang kaya di nadedevelop ang mga 3 point shooters dahil na din sa system ni coach tim. ilang beses na din nyang sinabi yan na ayaw niya sa 3-point shot unless very necessary. kaya kung mapapansin natin panay ang pasa ng bola halos ayaw nang tumira. libre na ipapasa pa. unlike the system of guiao pag libre no hesitation na tumira.

Pansin ko lang kagabi sa laro ng San Miguel kaya mas madali malibre si JMF kasi ang daming shooters ng SMB sabay nya maglaro si Arwind, Lassiter, Ross , Cabagnot, Huruela kahit si Espinas and Yancy may mga tira sa labas yan ang wala sa Ginebra panay set plays and triangle lang as of late nahahanapan na ng solution yan triangle ni Cone ng ibang teams kaya hindi na ganun ka effective

i agee...the triangle impedes the development of ginebra's outside shooters like ferrer, sabi ko nga before libre na ipapasa pa. lots of hesitation to shoot the ball. kaya malakas tayo pagdating ng 3rd conference because of the outside shooting of brownle. i swear give ferrer or even manuel the license to shoot, i'm sure they will deliver. just my 2 cents worth on the topic.

Remember for a time CTC let the team play free flow offense rather than the triangle and it worked wonder why he shifted back to the triangle again which is ineffective with the type of players on his team right now if there is such a thing as a semi triangle CTC should device it now and give it a try

Tim Cone will use, live and die with the Triangle offense, he doesn't believe nor rely in outside shooting which is normally being used in international tournament, and the Triangle offense was a proven system already for the last 2 PBA teams that he has handled (Alaska and Purefoods) wherein he got not only a multiple championships but a 2 rare Grand slam.

I may have to disagree on this mga dre.

 

The triangle needs shooters to work. Remember Alaska have Jolas (a pure shooter), Bong Hawkins (outside threat na laging kinukumpara ke Jervy), Poch Juinio na Center pero tumitira sa labas, Johnny A na shooter din, Kenneth Duremdes na isa ring deadly 3 pt shooter, Roel Gomez, Rodney Santos, etc, etc.. Sa B-Meg naman, kalakasan ni James Yap, Simon, Urbiztondo, Barroca puro outside threat din yang mga yan.

 

Walang problema sa triangle, ang problema eh mga players natin, hindi maka shoot "consistently" sa perimeter at sa tres. Ang SMB nag pa practice talaga ng tres ang mga shooters nila at talagang extra work sa outside shots, eh ang mga players kaya natin?

 

Simula nung masamang bagsak na injury ni Kfer (yung una mukha), parang hindi na bumalik yung dati niyang laro. Pansin niyo ba? The triangle is proven, parang dribble drive ng Tnt. Pag pumasok tres ng TNT, mahirap sila talunin, kasi wala silang inside threat, pag hindi, malimit talo sila. Unlike SMB, kung di napasok sa labas ang tira, bigay ke junmar ang bola.

 

Kaya hindi masyadong inlab sa 3 pt si CTC dahil alam niyang mababa ang % ng outside shots. Plus prone sa opponent fastbreak dahil long rebound pag mintis. Eh alam naman natin pag anjan si greg gusto tayong takbuhan ng kalaban lagi kahit sino pa yan. Eh lagi din nmn wala si Greg eh, so wala ding inside threat praa malibre ang outside gunners natin.. Buti si Japhet natututo na pumoste kaso hindi nag a attract ng double teams unlike greg so walang chance sa libreng tres tulad ng sa SMB.

 

Ang dapat gawin, mag move on na ke Greg, hindi I trade pero i build ang team/roster at plays without him. Always think na hindi sya magiging available. Bagay si Caperal at Raymond sa triangle kasi tumitira sa labas, konting exposure pa at confidence. Dapat talaga malaking import kunin dahil kung pagbalik ay ma injured na naman si barney, patay na naman tayo sa rebound vs malalaking imports. Make Greg part of the 2nd team na lang at malaking import ang ka tandem ni Japhet. ewan ko ba kung bakit di naiisip ni CTC to.

 

How can you win the Comms Cup against SMB's Rhodes - Junmar - Stanhardinger with JBL and a fragile greg? Si vernon macklin sa Magnolia pa napunta, eh dugong ginebra yun eh.

Pwede naman syang i sign as stand in import. Backup kumbaga, that way the contract dispute can be avoided. Unless may implications na hindi natin alam.
