For now ipagdadasal ko nlng na matalo ang blackwater sa star hotshot kc if they loose.. sure na pasok tayo sa q'tfinals kahit matalo tayo next game sa NLEX... yun nga lang SMB at twice 2 beat disadvantage tayo..

Sana lang come playoff time.. may tagong baraha pa si CTC

what would be the scenario if blackwater loses to star and ginebra wins against nlex? may pag-asa pa ba tayo sa top 4?

malabo na Boss pinakamagandang pwesto natin is 5th kaso need matalo ng alaska, tnt at star s next game nila to achieve that so malabo tlga yun...

6th place nlng para best of three lang.

possible match up natin dyan (alaska or rain or shine).

mabigat pala ang pwedeng makaharap ng ginebra. at least kung best of 3 may tsansa pa din wag lang twice to beat.

Dapat masanay sila na every game counts, hindi yung naasa sa mangyayari sa ibang remaining games.

Come to think of it, the format is FIBA-like na walang sayang na games, kaya dapat umpisa pa lang hataw na at minimal ang adjustments. Kumbaga, you need to exert extra effort to beat your opponent twice para makapasok sa semis.

Good, old memories were relieved on Wednesday night when one-time PBA champion coach Rino Salazar made a much-awaited reunion with some of his former Barangay Ginebra players at the Chivz Bar in Greenhills, San Juan.

The 67-year-old Salazar, back in town for a well-deserved three-week vacation with wife Rose, couldn’t be any happier to reconnect with Gin Kings greats Marlou Aquino, Noli Locsin, Vince Hizon, Bal David, Wilmer Ong and Benny Cheng who are now trekking different paths following their colorful stints in the PBA.

Also present during the reunion were former San Miguel Beer enforcer Alvin Teng, ex-Tanduay gunner Bobby Jose and former Purefoods (currently known as Star) mentor Cris Calilan.

Actor/comedian Jimmy Santos, one of the pro league’s pioneers before entering the local show business, also made a cameo appearance as he added color to the intimate gathering with his usual comical acts.

After leading defunct Shell to the franchise’s first PBA title in the 1992 Reinforced Conference, Salazar served as the top deputy of Ginebra icon Robert “Sonny” Jaworski and later, took over the reins when Jaworski gave his political aspirations a shot and eventually earned a Senatorial seat in 1998.

Salazar’s stint at the Ginebra sidelines may have been brief but it proved to be memorable since he steered the eight-seeded Gin Kings to a stunning upset of top-ranked Mobiline (now known as TNT), led by Fil-Tongan big man Asi Taulava, in the 1999 All-Filipino quarterfinals courtesy of David’s series-clinching lay-up at the buzzer.

Also part of Salazar’s immediate plans is meeting Jaworski, former pro league legend Francis Arnaiz and former Toyota coach Dante Silverio before returning to Las Vegas, Nevada at the end of this month.
