I thought LA was gonna be the goat. FNF turned back the hands of time. I really felt good for the two guys. Mark and JJ were the heroes of this win. Tim should start these two next game. Awesome Newsome is gonna be a Gilas member.

IF this is indeed their last ride together, then the 'Fast and Furious' are making it an unforgettable one.

Barangay Ginebra hopped on Jayjay Helterbrand and Mark Caguioa’s two-man rally in the final quarter as the Gin Kings averted a monumental collapse with an 88-86 victory over Meralco on Friday night to knot the PBA Governors’ Cup Finals at two games apiece.

Helterbrand scored all his 11 points in the fourth quarter as he conspired with Caguioa in restoring order after they squandered a 16-point lead, before Joe Devance scored the go-ahead basket in Game Four before a crowd of almost 18,000 fans at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

“It was a storybook game,” Gin Kings coach Tim Cone said. “We were swinging in the wind, we didn’t know what we were doing, then Jay and Mark played with so much energy…and pretty much saved our series.”

The best-of-seven series shifts to Game Five on Sunday night.

Making the most of his first significant action in the series, Helterbrand knocked down timely three-pointers as he ended up making all his four shots to spark the stand, a fitting present as he turned 40 on game day.

Caguioa wound up with just eight points as he shone more on defense and grabbed a handful of crucial rebounds down the stretch.

Devance finished what the longtime backcourt duo started as he scored on turnaround jumper that beat the shot clock with 25.7 seconds left.

Japeth Aguilar led the Gin Kings in scoring with 19 points and six boards before going down with a sprained ankle.

Allen Durham spearheaded the Bolts’ stunning 32-point turnaround as he fired 16 of his 34 points in the third quarter, where they outscored the Gin Kings, 39-12, but the Meralco import missed a late trey that could’ve won them the game.

Happy Birthday JJ!!! Nice win!

Moments na napamura ako ng malakas kagabi;

1. That awesome awesome block of Japhet to Hodge!

2. That Japhet alley oop

3. scottie getting the rebound against hodge and durham

4. Birthday boy raining 3's

5. LA's 2 miss FT's

That time na naka tatlong timeouts na si CTC nung 3Q wala pa din nangyayari, comes the Fast and the Furious.

Meralco was caught off guard on that lineup, nawala ung fastbreak nila na nagpalamang sa kanila ng malaki dahil they were tempted and forced to post up dun vs the small line up lalo na dun sa hodge vs mc47 matchup. good thing MC47 was on target sa defense with 2 steals against hodge.

At sa wakas naramdaman na din si Japhet sa opensa, yung absence ni Sol at LA sila ni JJ ang nagbigay. Steady contribution from Jervy and JDV. That JDV fadeaway that gave us the win.

Sana lang walang masamang nangyari ke japhet. 1st time mapasama sa defensive team in his career. congrats!

To newsome, marami ka pang kakaining bigas boy to make a game winner/tier against our import.

May tanong lang ako...bakit 2nd mythical team si aguilar tapos nasa 1st team sina abueva and santos?

Another question panong pumasok sa MVP nominee si abueva? At naging 3 way race yun amongs castro, kraken and ABUEVA?

Abueva was the BPC nung all filipino

Also, BPC winners are automatic MVP candidates

For Santos, his stats and SMB is the most consistent team this season (1 Champion and 2 Semis)

MONUMENTAL COLLAPSE !!!!!!! 65-56 Meralco.....NAWALA SA SARILI ANG BARANGAY. Import natin tuliro 15-0 blast.

another ginebra collapse...di na natuto. hope they can still catch up. brownlee is missing.

A day prior to their game 4 CTC had a one on one talk with Sol and JBL. after a 42pts done with Brownlee last game 3, CTC might told him to distribute scoring among locals, it would somehow create a negative impact to JBL as he became tentative and conservative and always look for an open man, the results: JBL only scored 10 points the entire game 4 (8 in 1st half and 2 in 2nd half). I hope he should be advised to still play his game and potential.

Is it me or nakakaiinis yung head-bobbing na gingawa ni ad at ni newsome pag maganda yung play nila? Kahit yung robot gesture ni hodge nung 3rd qtr after the dunk... nakakainis hehehe

kayabangan...arrogance. yan ang tingin ko sa mga robot na yan. even though they keep on head-bobbing, as long as we get the win, kahit pa maputol pa mga ulo nila, ayos lang. nyahahaha
