boni
I love going on a cruise line vacation. It's all inclusive and so relaxing. I've been to the 3 night Bahamas cruise with Royal Caribbean and the 5 night West Caribbean cruise with Norwegian. I would highly recommend Free Style Cruising by Norwegian. It makes it more comfortable being around the Filipino crew working in the ship because they give you special treatment! Next cruise for me will probably be Disney Cruise. I'm sure my son will enjoy it. Any experiences you can share will be awesome! Quote Link to comment
kenshin11
I have taken a cruise to Alaska, West carribean, East Carribean, Hawaiian island and the greek isles. The advantage with crusing is the ship's service. LOdging, activities and very excellent food. In cruising, you still pay for land tour to each destination. That is extra. These tours are bitin, because you have limited hours. But all in all, the cruise is gastronomical and you do noy worry about your baggage and activities. In places like Europe, I rather do the land tour type where you stay in different hotels having to ride on a big bus or ferry. You see more places that way. Quote Link to comment

floppydrive
Been on the Love Boat - The Princess Cruises Mexican Riviera Cruise. It was fun! Lots of things to do on the ship, plus eat as much as you like. I gained 5 pounds in 6 days. The fine dining restaurants served fantastic courses nightly! The price of the meals, if ordered in a restaurant in a city, would itself be more than the price of the cruise! What made it more fun was that 60% of the cruise staff are Filipinos! They treated us extra extra special just because we could converse in tagalog! Want white rice in the morning? Ask in tagalog - "May sinaing po ba?" and it comes steaming hot, served with big smiles. Conversing with them makes you feel proud to be Filipino. We didn't take any packaged land tours. We just went around by ourselves. The areas around the docks on the Mexican Riviera cruise are kind of tourist traps. There are bargains, but nothing spectecular. The ship was really the destination. Next time maybe we'll take a Superstar cruise from HK or SG. Quote Link to comment

dodo
I have been on board the following ships: Disney MagicDisney WonderCarnival FantasyRoyal Carribean Mariner of the SeasRoyal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas For me, the Royal Carribean ships were the best. They had more to offer than the other cruise lines. They have the biggest ships. If you stay in a Grand Suite or better, you are given access to a special 'concierge room". Here, there are special hors d'oeuvres and all the bar drinks you can imagine for free. In addition, the concierge person will arrange for you to get the best seats to the shows they offer on the ship. On the other hand, the Disney Cruise Line offered the best service. Service that is synonymous with Disney. Obviously, the Disney ships are great if you are traveling with kids. The kids have unlimited access to all the famous Disney characters. The only negative thing is that the Disney ships do not have a casino. I'm attaching a photo to give you an idea of size difference between a Royal Carribean ship and a Disney ship. The photo was taken inside Mariner of the Seas. Quote Link to comment

puki-man
We are going on another cruise in a couple of weeks aboard the Carnival Fascination. There's usually a lot of Filipinos who work on these ships. Does anyone know someone who works on Carnival Fascination? Quote Link to comment
