In his best year (2006) when he hit .309, he played for only 99 games. The way I see it, with the lack of depth in the FA pool, pitching is more important now in terms of keeper players.Hot bats are easier to find now while Oswalt is one of those sure things. kingsville Posted July 3, 2009 Share Posted July 3, 2009 IMHO, that is because some GM's are starting to immerse into the thought of adding quality pitchers to their rotation.I know of two or three GMs that are buying it. it makes sense, since a lot of the GMs here have fortified/solidified their batting lineups.that would make the others think to go the other way.
