gift_of_game
sorry to be blunt, but last time I checked, this was a competition... even got rebuffed for offering BS-free advice to some dude who was supposedly begging for it. but anyway, that's that. Quote Link to comment
oracle_man
seattles banking on that 100 win season a couple years back... Nope. That 116 win happened way back in 2001. The chart/article's data came from 2006 to 2008 seasons. Edited March 12, 2009 by oracle_man Quote Link to comment

gift_of_game
^he's not brittle---at all. he doesn't even get injured as often as we all think. he just doesn't like playing through pain. anytime he feels like something's off, he goes right ahead and weasels his way out of it. it's always something...a spasm, a tweak, tightness... now this... Mar 11 LHP Erik Bedard was scratched from his scheduled March 11 start due to tightness in his rear end. Manager Don Wakamatsu said Bedard could throw a bullpen session on March 14. oracle_man
I read somewhere (Yahoo) earlier it was his left hip, but I can see they changed it to "left butt". So I looked for other sources: Erik Bedard has been scratched from his start today because of an issue on the left side of his gluteus maximus. Yeah, very funny Edited March 12, 2009 by oracle_man Quote Link to comment

oracle_man
There's a correction: CORRECTION: We were initially given incorrect information. Bedard's discomfort is on his right side, not his left. That's the opposite side of his hip injury last year. Even reporting on this guy seems a pain in the butt Quote Link to comment
