agentjackbauer
Oh, now I remember. I saw that INF and I said, "heck, now how do I factor that in?" " I didnt know!! Akala ko hindi counted, o parang zero. I didnt realize "that" made my team win pala. his ERA and WHIP were INFinite. that bad. i didnt even need his 2 saves. i should've trusted my instinct on that final day and it said bench all your batters and all RPs. i didnt, i lost. if i benched all of my batters, my AVE would've stayed at .284 instead it dropped to .264 (ajb's was .273); if i didnt start my RPs my WHIP would've been .08 better than ajb's @jong - that's why i dropped him here, too. bubuy
actually it was divide by zero kaya naging INF.. he let in 4 ERs without getting an out, lousy outing. i wonder how yahoo actually calculates the "final" numbers in cases of INF.. Quote Link to comment
kingsville
onga pala, regular-season record pala yun, not the eventual finish after playoffs. ako rin kaya, walang napala sa fMLB this year. *ika nga ni pareng TD, "we sucked this year, and we sucked good!" Quote Link to comment
agentjackbauer
Yan din ang tanong ko eversince. Ilang taon ko na rin di alam ang sagot dyan. I was trying to compute the WHIP in my head but I couldnt since your "INF" had no numbers involved. actually it was divide by zero kaya naging INF.. he let in 4 ERs without getting an out, lousy outing. i wonder how yahoo actually calculates the "final" numbers in cases of INF.. kingsville
I got an educated guess here, kinda unsure:Lahat-lahat kasi yan kino-combine (except batters being used as a pitcher, of course). tapos ganito: *(IP) - number of innings (IP).1 = (IP).33 ang gagamitin mong divisor to get the ERA.(IP).2 = (IP).66 ang gagamitin mong divisor to get the ERA. yung dividend yung ER (and NOT the R's), then multiply the quotient by 9 to get the ERA. yung WHIP kasi [(walks + hits) / IP] lang yun eh. at ganun din.. .33 and .66 din ang gagamitin. cheeselogger
I think to "add" in the infinite WHIP of a pitcher/s is just the total of your staff's Walks and Hits over the whole total innings pitched of your pen. since the offending pitcher didn't officially pitch any inning, he would just be adding to your staff's total Walks and Hits therefore obviously increasing your team's WHIP... cheeselogger
same thing goes for infinite ERA, total ER over total innings pitched I think... Quote Link to comment

cheeselogger
I ain't no stattracker bro, not really too keen on crunching numbers on any fantasy sports I join/play in. I mostly go on gut feel with some references on players' stat outputs so far... Quote Link to comment
