Jongkers
^^ Nakanampf! Josh? Robert Redford? Ikaw ba yan? Yep, 3 rounds nga ang minor league draft.I was referring to the rule 5 pick na isa lang, di ba?That's the one where I got Pedro Alvarez. Kaya I can't offer that pick anymore kasi kasama yun sa package along with Alvarez and Figgins. Quote Link to comment
theNatural
don't worry, I won't chase that. maybe we can make that deal some other time... as for this first one, all we need is a vote... Quote Link to comment

kingsville
Hmm.. OK ako sa pending trade..although I honestly believe master gOg has the upperhand in this deal. master gOg, ayos na ba yung YM mo.. may itatanong akong "tsismis" (may panapat rin ako dyan sa theNatural account na yan.. pero next year na lang ) Quote Link to comment
Jongkers
@ gOgAah, so the 1st round rookie pick refers to the minor league picks pala, the one where I got LaPorta, Fautino and Chris Perez? All along I thought I was giving up my rookie pick (the Rule 5 pick).Sorry, my bad. Sige, tuloy na rin.Sensya na po. Edited July 17, 2008 by Jongkers Quote Link to comment

Thanks. My thinking is for the short-term: to win NOW.Getting MB will inject power to my OF and also in anticipation of Godzilla's imminent season-ending surgery.Maine will help my rotation in QS and W (yes, i expect a Mets turn-around in the 2nd half) and with Fausty and Percival back, I'll have a formidable SP rotation backed with a four-man closer team. It's tough to replace Figgins but, as I see it, "replacing" is not the solution.Konting creativity here and there lang to address the "loss" and thereby maintain competitiveness. It was actually a good trade for you Jongker; if it's really meant for the short-term.Kinakabahan lang ako sa mga short-term solutions na yan kasi what if they showed me the wrong side of what I expected. Hindi lang ako maka-siguro kung kaya pang i-sustain ni MB yung productivity nya in the 2nd half, but I know you need him in place of Matsui. There's nothing wrong with trying-to-win-it-all, especially if you're in the right timing and you were in there. As for gOg, well.. long-term solutions.. a potential DH, another prospect (he's good at this), and a speedster. Chone the speedster is a keeper, IMHO.. but he might leave an intriguing piece in the filler draft next year. Tinanong ko na agad sa kanya eh! Quote Link to comment

kingsville
Malapit nang mapunta sa'yo yan!Sa'yo kasi baka mag-champion si Jongkers! :thumbsupsmiley:Pero bro, bakit puro autograph lang ginawa nya sa video na ito? There's a reason why the A's signed him to a lucrative rookie deal.
I'm sure the Yanks can afford the postage fee (and even if they tried hard enough, I doubt if they'll ever get to mess him up) but the kid clearly doesn't want to leave the Land of the Rising Sun...yet. kingsville
Dun na'ko sa Jap hybrid.. even denim would do the same, I believe.Yeah, gotta find the Jap counterpart to Boston's Dice-K. Si Inoa, hindi pa nga makakabili ng alak yan eh.. 17 years of age, right?pero ang promotion to the majors nyan siguro 2011 or 2012 pa. May Gio Gonzalez pa sila and Fautino. Tsaka btw, di ba settled ka na sa kabit ni Mrs. Montero? Hmm.. sa case naman namin, baka last pick ng 1st round.. ampness, heto na lang kaya: kapatid ni rickie weeks.
