The MOVIE REVIEW Thread

Recommended Posts

some say inception has a very complicated plot and needs to be viewed 2x before getting it..

i say its simple.. just go along the story line and remember the dialogues.

very entertaining and cute and witty yung architect girl :)

Yes, it is complicated enough - it actually took me a couple of viewings before everything got to sink in - but there are good enough action sequences to sate the red-blooded men in the audiences (as if Marion Cotillard isn't enough to get one's loins aflame)

The "architect" girl...that's Ellen Page!!! She's gone a long way from her tomboyish Juno McGuffin character

Inception

My thoughts about the movie

The movie is one of the most original (if not only original) movie I've ever seen and has a plot (story, whatever you want to make out of it) that will make your head spin

Sabi ng date ko na-bobo daw siya dahil sa concept ng movie

The movie is well written. A very smart movie for its genre.

The cast has a somewhat odd chemistry but for some reason it really works, and the performance of Ken Watanabe and Joseph Gordon-Levitt is really something to ponder

All in all it's a movie that will make you think for days and an ending that will make you say OMG! What the hell?

I'm not surprised if it wins an Oscar, Christopher Nolan should get a big pat on the back and those Warner Bros exec should say Good Job Dude!

Overall Rating 10/10

Hindi Sayang Pera ninyo lalo na kung sa iMAX ninyo siya papanoorin kasi High Definition siya hehehe

The Expendables Rating 1/10

Boasts of seasoned action stars in the credits yet falls short on the plot of the movie. It's just the same old crap - guns, explosives and blood - nothing much to see. They tried to inject a bit of humor in the movie but I didn't really find it funny. There were some parts where the scenes were dragging, i almost fell asleep. Watch at your own risk.

Just watched the expendables the other day

Its like watching the last Rambo movie with all New and Old hardcore action stars present.

Almost same plot and setting.

But the action scenes are so huge and edge of your seat type. you will miss something if you blink.

Bone crushing humors also are added treat.

Rating: 4/5 stars

a sequel is already in planning according to Stallone. (check movie site)

Spoiler: Stone Cold, Arnold S, and Bruce Willis roles were surprising. Arnold S, and Bruce W names were not flashed during opening and ending credits.

Trivia: Jean-Claude Van Damme did not accept his role because supposedly, he will be beat up by Jet Li in a Karate Showdown on the movie.

hmmm.. i think his ego is out of place huh?

Apparently, the character played by veteran British kickboxer Gary Daniels (as the "other" muscle of main heavy Vince McMah...oops, I mean Eric Roberts) was originally intended for JCVD

The absence of Willis & Ah-Nuld on the credits was intentional...just doing an old friend a favour (it's his show anyhoo)

Grabe, kulang na lang pina-stunner ni Stone Cold si Rambo!!! Aba, wala 'yan sa WWE!!!
