nrc35
G.I. Joe Retaliation. *Spoiler free* I was able to catch the film last Saturday night and I think this one far more better than the G.I. Joe Rise of the Cobra. Unlike the first film which looked so cheesy with all the crappy CGI, Retaliation gives you a more realistic feel. I think Paramount decided to take Michael Bay's way of making movies.. yes, explosions, explosions and more explosions. The film started really good for it establishes the relationship of Duke and Roadback but by the second act of the film the story becomes messy with plot holes everywhere, just like what sir whysoserious7 mentioned in his post that the film failed to tackled how Storm Shadow survived from the first film. Verdict:Despite the bad reviews, I think Retaliation was badass. Not bad for being the front runner for the upcoming summer blockbuster flicks like Iron Man 3, The Wolverine, Star Trek, and etc. Where the first one was maybe a 2 out of 10 and this one jumps way up to the 7.5 range. Still not perfect but far superior to the first. Dwayne Johnson is the "franchise viagra"! ;p Edited April 2, 2013 by nrc35 Quote Link to comment

Why So Serious
Iron Man 3 Malinis ang pagkakagawa ng plot... Maganda ang mga action scenes.. May kahinaan ang mga bagong armor na ginawa nya lalo na yung prototype na na-attached isa isa sa katawan nya from his hands & arms, feet & legs, hips and waist, torso, up to the helmet. After mahuli naka kadena pa, di ba nya kayang lumipad at makalas yung kadena?.. At the end of the story, di na pinakita kung pano gumaling si Ms. Potts dahil tinurukan sya ng chemical para maging extremis, sya din kasi ang nagligtas kay Tony. Pinatanggal na din ni Tony yung mga shrapnel sa katawan nya plus tinanggal na nya yung power source sa chest nya then binato sa dagat...sabay sabi "after all I'm still Iron Man" Si Mr. Stark, kahit matalino di pa rin uubra kung wala ang wingman nya na si JARVIS.. Thumbs up ako sa Iron Man 3 kaso parang may kulang, may kulang talaga....di ko alam kung bitin, in preparation for Avengers 2, or papatayin nila si Robert Downey as Tony Stark at papalitan ng bagong actor sa Avengers 2 (kasi nagpapataas ng presyo) Quote Link to comment

Kaya he was powerless when na-override control niya and Tony Starks had to hack the system ulit when he asked for the password which was funny as hell *slow clap* Jarvis is a machine with artificial intelligence (AI) and a creation of Tony Starks, so technically speaking, siya pa din ang genius. Personally, i'd say that the chip embedded that controls the suit was a genius move, since di na niya kelangan bitbit palagi yong suit/armour niya. Yon lang, the weakness is if walang power or not charged your suit. Somehow, I also like the movie and the fact that he is still somewhat vulnerable and his nemesis can defeat him. Para naman may laban eka nga. Quote Link to comment
dungeonbaby
My review of Iron Man 3 nice capsule review. despite the comments on the Iron Man thread here, which were pretty funny in their geeky fury, i thought Iron Man 3 was mucho excelente! the acting was just campy enough to make an-80s inspired action flick such as this, enjoyable today. (some spoilers here) i don't particularly love gwyneth paltrow, but as pepper potts, and except for some of her final scenes, she filled out her end of the film quite nicely. don cheadle had more of a part to play this time, and this time, it truly worked for me. guy pearce did particularly well walking a fine line between a cheesy swagger and the crazed gesticulations of a megalomaniac. ben kingsley was perfect in his dual character. and of course robert downey jr, diminutive in size by hollywood standards, completely owned this 'tall' heroic role. what i liked about the film, and what i think will appeal to some of its audiences, is the story's use of a simple return to basics to deal with an enemy. stripped of his home, his workshop, and eventually Jarvis, privileged Tony Stark goes back to his skills as a mechanic, on a young new friend's suggestion no less. how reassuring to a world coping with difficulty to have it affirmed that we may lose all trappings of a good life, but we can count on our fundamental abilities, and friends who believe in us, to help us prevail. Labuyo
Now You See Me - pretty slick overall and entertaining enough. though i wonder kung paano nakapaghiganti dun sa safe manufacturer if they framed morgan freeman's character for the theft. eh 'di syempre nabawi yung pera dahil nakita sa kotse niya.
