dRyHuNk
depends on where you are driving. kung dito sa atin, mas prefer ko RWD kasi multipurpose mga sasakyan natin dito, and pinoys tend to overload. and ang sama ng kalsada dito, imagine kung FWD ang oto lahat ng nasa harap iindahan ang mga lubak. kung RWD, di masyado mabigat ang impact. elsewhere ok ang RWD kasi better traction on snow, etc. Quote Link to comment
j4kst0n3
My experience, a FWD vehicle is prone to under-steering. A RWD vehicle is prone to over-steering. When you're driving in a slalom course, a RWD vehicle is easier to handle and maneuver than a FWD vehicle. Quote Link to comment
tazz611
Rear wheel drive is better for performance reasons. When a car accelerates the weight shifts to the back. So there is better grip .And also, there is no torque steer is you have a lot of power. But the drawback it is heavier because of the rear diffrencial. Advantage of front wheel drive is less weight for better gas mileage. Quote Link to comment
bmathay
For performance, rear driven wheels are better than front driven ones. That's the reason BMW still makes their cars that way and have not adopted the front drive layout. There is a better division of labor, so to speak, among the tires: steering to the front tires, and propulsion to the rear ones. Quote Link to comment
