A Rear wheel drive (RWD) car is one set up for driving fun.. If you're an aggressive driver , better get AWD.

 

A Front Wheel Drive (FWD) car is set up for safety.. If you're the type na would just like to go from one destination to the next, and doesn't crave for excitement then go get a FWD. If you're a newbie driver, get a FWD.

correct kayo mga tol..been driving my gsr since 2003 and never had accident..khit anung bilis pag tumapak k preno swabe lng..unlike RWD got my skyline few months ago..hataw tpos bgla break dmo alam san k pupulutin better practice more cguro.. RWD un lng for drifting

You really can't feel whether the car gets pushed or pulled pagnormal driving, unless your turning in and stepping on the gas hard then may torque steer nangyari and it is the only time you can feel that the front is being pulled to turn..

I've driven a few civics, a lancer, a gsr, sentra, and ae92 for fwd some rwd silvia and old corollas usually up and down sa sumulong before, most are lightly modified and some more aggressive but there's no difference in normal driving and high speed cruising and stability unless pushed hard.. on dry, the fwd cars as always under-steer at entry and while accelerating in a fast corner while rwd does a lot less understeer and more tail happy when accelerating in mid corners and exit.. but on the wet, fwd behaves the same until you've reached the limit then biglang sobrang under-steer sa fast corner. word of advice, caution sa corner entry speed ng fwd and caution din sa gas pedal pag rwd lalo sa mid-exit.. pag naexperience mo matinding underster or kahit anong unexpected situation, "Don't just slam on the breaks basta-basta!" lalo na pag walang ABS, lalo ka lang mayayari..

 

as for sa skyline na bigla break then kakaiba mag react, most probably naglock lang breaks mo, get use to it if you want to drive fast and have to break hard, even mga cars na may ABS my time din nagloloko un.. not sure about the skyline's abs sa lower models na rwd kung meron at kung ok..but so far ngayon lang ako nakarinig niyan from skyline.. unless di na ok ang brakes or di maganda pagconvert ng skyline mo..

 

FWD or RWD doesn't really affects the breaking behavior of the car as long as they both have or don't have ABS and SC, unless engine breaking then syempre iba un.. or braking hard in a high speed turn may show some slight difference since FR have better wight distribution than the common FF with most of its weight is on the front..

 

performance, stability, breaking, acceleration, etc.. pag sa peformance lang iccompare laging rwd, kaya nga mga sports cars rwd or awd, basta kelangan gumagana un likod.. but still, fwd technology are fast improving ngayon.. if pang everyday lang, buy the cheaper fwd since di mo naman hahatawin o dadahilhin sa racetrack to notice the difference.. understeer is one big prob tlg sa mga ff, kaya nga if you notice ung mga tuner companies sa jap laging malapad tires sa harap then maliit un likod para less understeer sa turns..

The top end cars are all rear wheel drive, or sometimes four wheel drive. You do not find a Ferrari, Jaguar, Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, or especially F1 cars running front wheel drive systems.

 

There are very good reasons for that. Rear wheel drive rules.

 

However, of course, for the typical pinoy who can only get second-hand Japanese cheapo boy-racer cars like Evo or GSR here in Pinas, then he has to make do with front wheel drive. Bilib na siya duon. Let's not ruin his day.
