damaso
brazil 3 greece 0 in a meeting between the defending world champions and the european champions, 3 beautiful goals were scored. the best was the first one, a long range rocket from adriano. the second, scored by robinho, was set up by a great run from gilberto. and the last strike: didnt i say juninho is the best free kick taker in the world? teio
from uefa.com -- Manchester United FC have agreed the transfer of Korean international midfield player Ji-Sung Park from PSV Eindhoven for a fee thought to be in the region of €6m. The English Premiership side will sign a four-year deal with the 24-year-old once he passes a medical at Old Trafford and receives a work permit. Park, who began his career in Japan with Kyoto Purple Sanga, first came to prominence at the 2002 FIFA World Cup, playing all seven of his country's games prior to a move to the Netherlands that December. Park made eleven appearances in the 2004/05 Champions League, scoring in PSV's 3-1 semi-final second-leg victory against AC Milan, although his team were ultimately eliminated on away goals. He also figured in 28 league matches as PSV claimed the Eredivisie title and helped them complete the double by winning the Dutch Cup. Capped 53 times, his most recent international appearance and goal came in the 4-0 victory in Kuwait on 8 June that booked the Korean Republic's place at the 2006 World Cup in Germany, keeping up their record of reaching every finals since 1986. Park becomes United's second summer recruit after the arrival of Netherlands No1 Edwin van der Sar from Fulham FC. --- ac milan is eyeing on parma striker albert gilardino... while juventus is trying to lull antonio cassano away from roma... bitoy_butotoy
i have seen the match between mxico and brazil in the confederation cup where brazil lost 1-0, sadly this brazil team doesnt compare to the team that won the last world cup although some of the new players are really good like adriano. damaso
may sense ba ang confed cup???<{POST_SNAPBACK}> not really. it's a dress rehearsal for next year's world cup, but hosting 8 teams is a huge difference from hosting 32 teams. also, i've seen brazil's games and some of them look dead tired (who can blame them after a long grueling season with their domestic leagues). adriano was hardly running against japan. imagine what his condition will be for next year's world cup. no breaks for almost 3 years! fifa should just scrap this competition and give the players a rest. damaso
confed cup final thrashing: brazil 4 argentina 1 adriano again the star (just like in the copa america) scoring spectacular goals. the question is: can adriano play alongside ronaldo? both are thru-the-middle strikers with very similar styles. robinho, being a wide player with amazing dribble skills, looks more compatible with adriano. wonder who will be the forward pairing for next year's world cup...
