duchessXI
"Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has hit out at the ''unexplainable advantage'' handed to Manchester United by next week's fixtures in the Premier League." looks like RAFAs not alone in this one against Fergie's own Scotland Yard in the FA. i bet scolaris next to be followed by moyes, o neill, or hughes.. _eRon_
everybody's complaining; let the results do the talking ..the fixtures don't matter as long as you win your games, di ba? arsene & rafa wouldn't be complaining if they were not drawing or losing their games Quote Link to comment

''I feel that next week [Liverpool manager Rafael] Benitez has a case if you look at the way the fixtures are arranged,'' said Wenger. ''You can say that Manchester United have been extremely advantaged, unexplainably advantaged." 'But that is what we have to cope with. 'It is difficult to explain why one team plays on Tuesday and the others are all on Wednesday. It is unfair competition. ''Next week the fixtures are advantaged for Manchester United, who before had a point against Liverpool - I supported them when they had a case. But this week, I think Benitez has a case. Wenger continued: ''I do not think you need to be a specialist in football to understand that in this case it is an unfair advantage for Manchester United." EAT THAT manure Quote Link to comment

duchessXI
ROBBIE KEANE LEAVE! we dont need you. knew he wasnt going to do too good in liverpool. Quote Link to comment
redshirt
A few points from me. I always knew Keene was a lemon for LIV. The fixture list was effed up too when LIV participated for the club world cup. I don't see why there's a need to complain. The team is playing poorly, do better and stop whining. bubuy
hayaan niyo na magcomplain, that's what happens when the wheels start to fall apart.. mahaba pa ang season, they should start focusing more on what they should do instead of what the others are doing.. Quote Link to comment
damaso
rafa has lost me. only a week ago i posted that i was already losing faith in him but now he has definitely lost me. wigan draws level in the 80th minute and what does rafa do? take out steven gerrard - our best player! the one player who always always scores the crucial goal late in the game! how many times has our captain saved us?! and rafa takes him out??? what the hell was he thinking? i give up. liverpool will not win the premiership with rafa benitez... damaso
no, its not just the rotation policy. he's completely lost it. against wigan, rafa plays torres as lone striker, babel and benayoun as wingers, gerrard in the middle and 2 defensive mids (lucas and mascherano). against a side like wigan, i have no idea why he plays 2 defensive mids. anyway, they do ok and liverpool is up 1-0. about the 70th minute, rafa completely loses the plot... rafa decides to remove torres. i'm assuming he wants to keep torres fresh. so who does rafa send in to replace torres? keane?...nokuyt?...no he brings in riera - a winger. so now we have 3 wingers and no striker. and predictably liverpool was a mess. no one was leading the line, and the players were just basically passing the ball with no direction or intent. i was shaking my head in disbelief. the gods of tactical football were clearly upset and intervened: benayoun came up limping and had to be replaced. so kuyt came in and behold - we have a forward! rafa decided to give the finger to the gods and placed kuyt on the right and babel as the target man. at this point, i was pulling my hair and screaming in anguish. and the equalizer from wigan arrives via penalty. thanks to lucas (who i still don't believe is brazilian). why rafa plays lucas ahead of xabi alonso i'll never know. so right after the goal, rafa decides to finally bring in keane but WTF??? you take out gerrard??? the guy averages 20 injury-time goals a season! rafa says in an interview later on its because gerrard was tired. excuse me? do you think sir alex will take out ronaldo in this situation? do you think scolari would remove lampard? in reality, liverpool should have lost that game. in injury time, wigan hit the bar with reina beaten. haaay, what a waste of a season. _eRon_
i still think rafa's tactics are suspect especially during this period when his contract hasn't been resolved; he's distracted and the pressure of staying on top is getting to him.. i hope manutd win against everton tonight so that the red devils can extend their lead and stay top of the epl.. some transfer news (i get my transfer news from espnstar.com...) _eRon_
Redknapp hits back at Benitez http://www.espnstar.com/football/premier-l...ack-at-Benitez/ Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp launched an attack on Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez, after his 3-2 defeat to Bolton. Redknapp was left fuming over Benitez's claims this week he had deliberately sought to unsettle out-of-sorts Reds striker Robbie Keane with comments aimed at bringing him back to White Hart Lane.Redknapp said: "The comments I made, there was absolutely nothing wrong with them. I don't know why the manager of Liverpool gets upset about everything - it is strange. "I said Robbie is a terrific player and a good lad but he belongs to Liverpool so it's not a possibility. It's crazy. I never mentioned I was interested in him. It was never a goer really." Redknapp revealed there is still no confirmation over the extent of the training-ground injury suffered by Jermain Defoe with the striker yet to go for a scan on his suspected broken foot. But he praised substitute Darren Bent for his two second-half goals, which came after Davies and Sebastien Puygrenier had put the hosts two ahead, adding: "Darren came on and worked his socks off and, if he does that every week, we haven't got a problem - he'll be fantastic. "We came back to 2-2 and there was really only one winner at that stage. How were they 2-0 up with two shots on goal? But Kevin Davies comes up and he's fantastic for them." manutd wins against everton, 1-0, with c.ronaldo (14 goals this season) scoring the decisive penalty before halftime, we are now 5 pts above chelsea & liverpool..aston villa falter against wigan, 0-0, and fail to claim 2nd place before the liverpool-chelsea game; arsenal fail to break down west ham, 0-0.. other transfer news from espnstar.com.. damaso
there you go rafa! keep torres and gerrard in the game and good things will happen! i hope you've learned your lesson. i doubt it. i still think rafa will cost us the title. we rode our luck. that was a poor decision from the ref to send off lampard. i didnt think it was even a foul, let alone a red card.
