damaso
Maybe Pep Guradiola wants to re-kindle Henry's form by amking him the main target man instead of a left winger...Etoo thrives on being the main focal point of attack...so its indeed a difficult choice on who to put on the first team...Etoo would be too expensive to put on the bench...Barca would be better off buying a cheaper forward with less ego....just my 2 cents worthThere's even rumours that he might sign for a team in Borat Land..(Kazakh or Uzbekistan.....) hehehe..highly unlikely but you never know.... yes, that makes a lot of sense. henry and eto'o are both center forwards...but i still have to question the decision: first off, it is actually henry who needs to be a "main focal point". he is used to being so with arsenal. fabregas, hleb and the others had said that they were stifled with henry's commanding presence. in contrast, eto'o has shown he can play with other stars, forming a great understanding with ronaldinho and messi. henry may be a better finisher, but there is no other striker who makes better runs (without the ball) than eto'o. his runs often created the space his teammates needed. in the last friendly against dundee united (about 2 days ago, i think), eto'o was the creator of messi's three goals and even scored a goal himself. second, eto'o plays defense. which is something foreign to henry. third, eto'o, only 27, is still peaking in his physical prowess. henry is 31 this month, so you can expect his pace to start declining. i am not saying sell henry, but eto'o has repeatedly said he wants to stay. so i say keep him. especially with henry's propensity to getting injured. (oh and after the 5-1 friendly win against dundee united, both messi and xavi have asked guardiola to keep eto'o) Quote Link to comment

(oh and after the 5-1 friendly win against dundee united, both messi and xavi have asked guardiola to keep eto'o) i think barca bought henry as a marketing tool. its great to see a classic name behind a classic jersey. but if you watch him play, most of the time he reminds me of voronin: a headless chicken. hes just there for dead-ball situations. for me, hes more of a wide striker rather than a central forward, very much like ronaldinho (left hand side, attacking wide mid striker) which i think why the ronnies presence was fading away as henry assumed his role; hence his transfer to milan. let both of them stay, start with eto, keep henry on the bench unless needed.
