chipmaker
Ballack and the boys will have to console themselves tonight. On the other hand, Torres and others have so many reasons to celebrate about. Great game. Alas, it was not the outcome I wanted nor expected. Hurrah to Spain for a well deserved EuropaMeister championship! Quote Link to comment

damaso
however, my vote for player of the tournament : marcos senna the holding midfielder did everything right from game one to the final. solid at the back and protected the nervy spanish defense. in the semis, he marked the dangerous arshavin out of the game. he was everywhere against germany. you would think there were 3 sennas on the pitch. ballack couldn't do anything. kingsville
Congrats Spain.. they also dominated the 2nd half. just look at the shots and the shots-on-goal statistic. I would have rooted for the Italians but they were injury-plagued.Pero pwede na itong Spain; consistent pa.. Quote Link to comment

maxinquaye
Great victory by Spain. Xavi, I believe, was named player of the tournament. It could have gone to Senna as well, for his outstanding role as defensive midfielder. Quote Link to comment

duchessXI
Riise left the pool? WHY? deadwood. also, after his own goal that eliminated us in the champs league against chelsea. what a stunning header.o well, hes had a good career with us. but 4mil to AS Roma isnt that a bad deal. Rafas still tinkering around with other options, he has a new special weapon in Udinese full-back Andrea Dossena to fill the left wing-back.same approach as Riise: left-footed, very attack minded, forward diagonal runs, and a veteran at 26. first italian to join the reds. we will miss Riise and his trademark blasting shots-on-goal that looks like a normal shot in slow motion. 7 years for pool. i hope Rafa gets his mind off Barry and focus all funds on Villa.
