just to quickly add. some more tips. as much as possible keep your starting XI as attacking as possible. meaning get those WBs who whip crosses in everytime they get their hands on the ball. strikers who are selfish, dead ball specialists, etc etc. aim for assists and goals as this is what ultimately rack up your points.

7 points for a goal, 3 points for a shot on target = 10 points!

 

 

i left my team for like half a season it improved dramatically after a crappy first half... but not enough to catch up with the top half percentile

of course. it makes sense because if points just sticks to goals, that would mean lesser points, there should be credit for those defenders who use their aerial ability to make the goalie work. or midfielders who goes for the longe range strike. imagine watching a game, and for each SOT your players gets, you react to "YES!". and again if its just down to goals, what if a players gets a fluke goal deflection, and the opposing tireless player who get 10 SOTs get no credit. waste of talent. there must be amends to other player,s and after all this is what makes the game even more exciting.

rooney in yahoo! is one of the most expensive strikers on the list, but compare his stats with santa cruzs, i believe its not almost half of santa cruz if im not mistaken. again, fantasy is all about dark horses and gambles, probability, if everyone picks rooney, wheres the excitement in that?

yes yahoo! is a bit complex when it comes to points (if you were able to compare both sites), they even have decimals in there. they give credit to all 4 positions (def, mid, forward, and GK).
