mauiboy
Hammers romp homeTwo second-half goals from Bobby Zamora made it a disappointing return to Upton Park for new Charlton manager Iain Dowie as the Hammers ran out 3-1 winners. Dowie, who enjoyed two spells at West Ham as a player, saw his side take a 14th-minute lead with a controversial penalty from Darren Bent. But his hopes of getting off to a winning start were made virtually impossible by the dismissal of debutant left-back Djimi Traore in the 26th minute. Traore, a £2million signing from Liverpool, was booked for a foul on Lee Bowyer in the 23rd minute and shown the red card three minutes later when he prevented the home side from taking a quick free-kick. The home side's sustained pressure brought them an equaliser in the 51st minute through Zamora. He capitalised on Charlton's failure to cut out a low right-wing cross from Bowyer to poke the ball home at the far post. West Ham deservedly went in front in the 65th minute, as Zamora hooked the ball against the inside of the left-hand upright and over the line. Alan Pardew's men completed the scoring in the last seconds of injury time when substitute Carlton Cole finished superbly with his first touch of the ball after replacing Marlon Harewood. bubuy
Juventus is sick! They will go to civil courts with their appeal. We all know that no government or civil org can interfere with sports bodies. That is a basic mandate in IOC regulations! FIFA is threatening to ban all Italian national teams in all competitions including but not limited to Under 21s, Under 23s, Olympics and most importantly the World Cup, if Juve pushes through with its civil case. That means if Italy is banned, the current world champions won't be able to defend. Tarnished na nga ang image ng Juventus idadamay pa ang buong Italian soccer. :thumbsdownsmiley: Fcuk Juve! :grr: Cheats! Forget about their tradition and reputation all I will remember of them is that they are CHEATS!!! :grr: :grr: :grr: Quote Link to comment

_eRon_
Manchester United with a win over Charlton, 3-0, what a great start for the Red Devils, last game was 5-1 over Aston Villa (i think, i'm not sure..).. Unbelievably, Chelsea lost 2-1 to Middlesborough, two late goals to win the game for Boro, what the hell is happening to Chelsea? two losses in a span of two weeks? (they lost to Liverpool in the Community Shield..) i thought buying Sheva, Ballack & Kalou would strengthen the side..maybe the team needs time to gel.. i sure hope this is the start of the ascendancy of ManU back into the EPL, Sir Alex should buy Hargreaves..i wasn't able to watch the Charlton game but by what I'm hearing, Carrick played great, he was a substitute for Scholes in th 77th minute.. The other top teams: Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea & Tottenham are having miserable starts..Liverpool & Arsenal w/ draws in their 1st game & Chelsea & Tottenham having losses in their first & second games respectively.. Real Madrid wants Kaka & AC Milan want Ronaldo: is it a swap? for me its a loss for AC Milan if they swap players, Kaka still has lots of years ahead of him while Ronaldo is in the end of his career.. On the CL draw: ManU's group has Copenhagen, Celtic & Benfica..Benfica is still a threat, they are a great counter attacking team..Celtic can upset us but I think ManU can easily beat them..I don't know much about Copenhagen but I think its a sure win for ManU.. Chelsea & Barcelona on the same group again, damn, this will be a war when they meet again, if Chelsea can't find the chemistry they need to win, I think Barsa will easily dominate them.. Real Madrid & Lyon on the same group, I think Lyon was severly weakened when they lost key players during the transfer season, I hope Real Madrid can comeback to their winning ways.. Excited na ko sa bagong season..Go Manchester United!!!!... Quote Link to comment

They kept on pushing their issue eventhough they're obviously guilty. sorry to lash out at your team like that. but they could show more class under the circumstances. anyway, the Primera Liga is underway and here is Don Fabio's first ever teamsheet for the new season. TEAMSHEET:# Goalkeepers: Casillas and Diego López.# Defenders: Salgado, Roberto Carlos, Cannavaro, Cicinho, Raúl Bravo, Woodgate, Pavón and Mejía.# Midfielders: Baptista, Robinho, Guti, Emerson, Diarra, Beckham and Javi García.# Forwards: Raúl, Van Nistelrooy and Cassano. Very notable ang exclusion ni Phenom. I still think they need him, I hope they don't sell Ronaldo. Quote Link to comment

Being out of Serrie A,Cl etc... is very bad for business. but the thing they are tryi ng to pull off is very uncalled for for a club of their stature. parang si gloria yung juv pala buking na lulusot parin.the only difference is glorias getting away with her dirty tricks and juv looks like they are gonna pay for their actions ( no offence to juv or the maddame president ) Quote Link to comment
_eRon_
Juve got what they deserved, they'll soon be back at the Serie A.. Manchester United won again against Watford, 2-1, admirable game by Watford but the attack of the red devils were superior in the end, more guns for ManU.. Sino nakapanood nung game? daming defensive blunders in Mikael Silvestre, kaya siguro excluded siya sa bagong French side..notable miss by Louis Saha in the ending minutes, dpat 3-1 scoreline, sayang nawalan ng composure sa end..Carrick played great as a holding midfielder, sana makuha din nila si Hargreaves.. 3 out of 3 for ManU, a dream start for the red devils, sana tuloy-tuloy na to.. bubuy
start na din ng Serie A. Italian Super Cup: Inter Down Roma After Amazing Comeback Inter were able to raise their second consecutive Italian Super Cup after they completed a historic comeback to defeat AS Roma 4-3 in extra time. Things looked bleak for Roberto Mancini’s outfit as Luciano Spalletti’s Giallorossi went ahead by three goals in the first half. Brazilian Amantino Mancini took advantage of a misunderstanding between Javier Zanetti and keeper Francesco Toldo to put Roma ahead in the 13th minute. After taking the lead, the capital city outfit began playing magnificent football that led to midfielder Alberto Aquilani’s pair of goals in the 24th and 32nd minutes. When things appeared over for the Nerazzurri they picked up the vital late first half goal as new signing Patrick Vieira headed home a free-kick behind Roma keeper Doni. The early stages of the second half appeared to suggest Roma could hold onto their lead, but things changed when Hernan Crespo came on for a once again disappointing Adriano. The Argentine immediately made an impact as he got Inter within one of the Romans through a classy header off a Stankovic cross on 65 minutes. Inter’s second goal proved to be a psychological blow-out for the Giallorossi as they closed themselves into their own half. Spalletti tried to improve things by replacing a tired Francesco Totti, who slowly disappeared from the match after a fantastic first half, with Egyptian striker Mido. But the substitution did little to stop Roma from going into ruins as Patrick Vieira scored his second of the evening in the 73rd minute to even things out. On the stroke of full-time, Vieira’s former Juve teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic had an amazing chance to end the affair in glory but after receiving the ball from Crespo he shot wide from close range. Despite the miss, the Swedish striker continued to be the thorn in the side of the Roma defense, and during extra-time he had the merit of picking up the dubious free-kick that allowed Luis Figo to curl in the game-winner with Doni looking. Roma were unable to attempt to straighten things out in the remaining twenty five minutes of extra-time, partly because defender Cristian Chivu was sent off for ironically applauding referee Saccani. The emotional triumph allows Inter to start the season in which ‘they must win the Scudetto’ on the right foot, however they must improve on the errors that allowed Roma to break ahead with a three-goal lead if they want to realistically stand a chance to ‘win it all’. On their part, Roma need to gain a mental maturity that clearly lacked after their early heroics, if they want to contend the Scudetto with Inter and try to do well in the Champions League. luol_deng
3 of 3 for United great start but the real challenge has started yet, this is going to get tricky if we start loosing players to injuries and esp Vidic who is becoming injury prone exp he is a very good defender....his going to be the Ronny Johnsen of the new era Quote Link to comment
_eRon_
I think when ManU becomes healthy, pwede tlga sila magchampion, Carrick I think by the way he plays is a quality signing, pero namahalan ko msyado sa presyo nya, they should get Hargreaves..or strengthen their midfield with wingers & a holding midfielder or buy another defender.. right now their dfenders are ferdinand, vidic, neville, richardson, evra, brown, silvester, o'shea & heinze..ferdinand, vidic, neville & heinze are injured right now, they need to buy quality defenders.. there are rumors circulating that ManU is signing Trezeguet because he has not played in the past 2 games for Juventus, but I hardly believe this rumor because Sir Alex is not into buying older players, he prioritizes youth over skill..
