We climbed mount apo last year and I learned one hiker's vocabulary the hard way on that hike -acclimatization, altitude sickness

 

8pm I was at sea level in digos and made my way up to sta cruz to join fellow hikers, by 9am we reached the peak I was already throwing up from the thin oxygen and everything around me was moving, rocks and trees

I know an MTC icon na member ng isang prominent mountaineeering club dito.  Ang dami naming common friend.  Meron din isang low-profile manager na member of the same club.

Sumasama ako paminsan-minsan, mas gusto ko kasi yun mga 5-day climbs, nabibitin ako sa mga overnighters lang.
