^iirc, passport appointment is absolute. Just follow your schedule and make sure the documents required from you are complete. Don't expect them to "rush" it though, I just had my passport renewed recently and paid for the 1,200 fee for rush processing and that should haven taken only a week but I only got it nearly 2 weeks after I came down.

 

Mine was processed in SM manila branch and the whole procedure took about close to 2 hours. Passport validity is still the same as before.

Question, my gf middle name is del Rosario and shes using R as her middle initial since birth. Why is it on her diploma and her bank documents the middle initial becomes D? Will it make a problem in the future if not corrected? Pls advise on What process should we take.

Bank documents and Diplomas can be changed. You will need an affidavit stating the two names belong to one and the same person.

pahelp po ung gf ko po kasi kumuha sya ng passport year 2014 gamit name ng ate nya nkaalis sya sa japan pero 3 month lang then ngaun 2017 kumuha sya ng passport at ginamit na nya amg totoo nyang name nkapagpaappointment sya nkaattend sya ng appointment pero ung irerelease na nkalagay na suspended at need sya kausapin kaso natatakot sya pumunta dahil baka my kaso na isampa sa kanya gsto nya lng sana kmuha ulet ng sarili nyang name pra mkapagabroad ulet at mkatulong sa pamilya nya.. maraming salamat po sa sasagot

ano ang problema niya? dahil hindi siya pumunta, hindi natin alam kung me problema o wala. Ang alam lang natin, natatakot siya. May basehan ba o hindi na matakot siya, we don't know.

Hi guys! Any idea on passport appointments? I heard recently that the DFA freed up a lot of slots sa appointments nila. Pero the last time I checked, puno pa din! Worse, no more appointments for this year and no schedule yet for next year. Haay.

wala naman po sya problema at wla naman po syang kasong tinatakbuhan gusto lang po niya na makakuha na sya ng passport sa sarili nyang pangalan ang kaso natrace na may gamit na syang dating pangalan ung pangalan ng kapatid nya

Section 19, Republic Act No. 8239 (the Passport Law) states:

 

b] Offenses Relating to False Statements; Penalties. — Any person who willfully and knowingly:

 

1. Makes any false statement in any application for passport with the intent to induce or secure the issuance of a passport under the authority of the Philippine Government, either for his own use or the use of another, contrary to this Act or rules and regulations prescribed pursuant hereto shall be punished by a fine of not less than Fifteen thousand pesos (P15,000) nor more than Sixty thousand pesos (P60,000) and imprisonment of not less than three (3) years nor more than ten (10) years: or

 

2. Uses or attempts to use any passport which was secured in any way by reason of any false statements, shall be punished by a fine of not less that Fifteen thousand pesos (15,000) nor more than Sixty thousand pesos (60,000) and imprisonment of not less that three (3) years, but not more than ten (10) years;
