I read somewhere that there is a Thai restaurant near the Marikina Public Market that is owned by a Thai emigre married to a Filipina. The Thai chef who owns the place is also the one who handles the food preparation for the Thai Embassy social functions. The restaurant is reputed to be very good and very reasonable. The biggest problem only is that it is in Marikina and it is located I guess in the wrong side of the tracks.

Btw, anyone cares to start a Vietnamese restaurant thread.
