starting to get back into running

nakakatakbo na ako 5km+ (max ko 8k)

time is pang chubby pace (8-9mins/km)

so far wala pa nman pain sa tuhod pero wala tlaga ako hangin ampf

2k palang max na diredirecho. need to shed more weight. planning to finish 21k before the year ends... sana.. hahaha

yeah iniiwasan ko din yung biglaan taas mileage

at nde din kaya, ubos hangin ko haha

tingin ko kaya ko na mag 10k pero mataas time ko. haha

Any advice sa akin na first time na tumakbo to improve my stamina and cardio and to atay fit na din..

Ano ba mga kailangan sa pagtakbo like recommended type and brand of shoes, type or watch for running, food supplement and vitamins and where can I run in the metro?..salamat in advance.. Sana may mga groups of runners din ako na masamahan.. to

Gradually increase the distance you run, no more than 10% to prevent injury. Also, when starting out, don't run every day. Allow a day between runs for the body to recover. When you run regularly already, for a balanced weekly workout plan, you can go for 3 runs a week, 2x on weekdays- one is an easy run, the other is for fast drills to improve speed, then a long slow distance run on weekends to build endurance.

 

For running shoes, best to visit a running shoe store like Nike, Adidas, Mizuno, Asics, or specialty stores such as Second Wind and RUNNR, where the staff can do a gait analysis and check which type of shoe is best suited for your foot. They will also ask what are your running objectives before they will recommend a shoe. They also usually have a treadmill or a small running course where you can test the shoe.

 

For watches, it really depends on your goals and budget. You can use a simple digital watch with a timer, or go for the fancier ones with GPS and heart rate monitor.
