joseph35
just like what bro @joseph35 mentioned, I use running belt. pero i dont usually bring anything pag may run. i just bring some cash and that's it. Yes, finish strong, although medyo mahirap ung finish strong lalo na pag 42k Quote Link to comment
rocco69
Any tips kapag tatakbo ng 42k? Di ko pa natry.21k palang natry koOn long runs, chafing occurs. Gumamit ng tamang running shorts para di magkasugat ang mga body parts (like inner thighs, or armpits) na nagcha-chafe. Others use compression shorts under regular shorts. You can also use lubricants or gels on "hot spots". Bodyglide, Chamois Butt'r, Vaseline all work. Personally, I use Bag Balm (got it on order from the US). Don't wear cotton shirts. They tend to rub on nipples, which begin to bleed after a while. Sometimes, even with technical shirts, chafing of nips occur. I suggest using 3M Transpore Surgical Tape (available at Mercury Drug) to cover your nips. Effective! Cotton socks are also a no-no, you'll end up with blisters, or black toenails. Use socks made with synthetic yarn. I think Thorlo and Dri-max are available on the market. The socks offered at Runnr or other running shoe stores are probably good too. Again, I use Balega (my size - XL - which, unfortunately is not available here in the Phils.) Edited March 7, 2017 by rocco69 Quote Link to comment

artint3
Any tips kapag tatakbo ng 42k? Di ko pa natry.21k palang natry ko sir try mo muna mag 32K. Yung "wall" kasi normally starts sa 32K. kain ka ng madaming saging. pero wag sobra sobra. mga 2 to 3 pcs daily enough na yun. during the run, wag kang sasabay sa mga hindi mo ka-pace. minsan kasi excited tayo, baka sa umpisa pa lang masunog ka na. keep in mind na 42K yung tatakbuhin mo kaya kelangan mo mag-reserve ng energy. enjoy mo lang yung run, stick with your training pace. make sure na hydrated, wag kang mag-skip ng mga hydration station. wag mong hintayin na mauhaw ka bago uminom. joseph35
Self discipline to stick to your own pace - medyo nakakalimutan to ng mga beginners. Minsan kasi madaling matukso sumabay sa iba o kaya sa mga chicks tapos pasikat pa konti kaya medyo bibilisan, hehe Quote Link to comment

Minsan kasi madaling matukso sumabay sa iba o kaya sa mga chicks tapos pasikat pa konti kaya medyo bibilisan, hehehaha naalala ko 'to during my first full marysyempre excited so rumatrat ako agad. then an older runner talked to me, ask nya if naghahabol daw ba ako ng placesabi ko nde naman, then sabi nya msyado daw mabilis pace ko hahaayun medyo natauhan ako. so i started to slow down, tapos usap lang kami habang takbo (well, mostly sya yung nagsasalita, ako puro one-liner lang, habol hininga)magkasabay ata kami upto 10k, tapos nun pinauna ko na sya. parang mabilis yung pace nya for me hehe Quote Link to comment
