Congrats also to all the runners in the PSE Bull Run in BGC also last Sunday!

Here's my FR for the PSE Bull Run:

 

Route: 9/10 - new route and they even started to take the kalayaan flyover habang mainit pa ang mga runners. :)

 

Hydration: 9/10 - Almost 1.5km e meron hydration

 

Security: 7/10 - Good enough pero iba pa din ang mga big organizers like Rio

 

Race Kits: 8/10 - Ganda ng quality ng singlets and finisher's + the medal

 

Overall: 8/10 - Definitely join next year!

 

Congrats din sa mga nag join ng The Dream Bull Run Marathoners! :)

 

Next will be Run United! :)

WAAAH ingit ako sa tatakbo nang run rio!!!!

 

O nga, me pratice runs ba kayo for run rio, sama rin ako kahit na march 30 pa takbo ko.

 

Bakit ganun, nung fun run nag improve ang time ko. But now i'm back training for more than a week now, eh bumalik ata ako sa dati kong running speed? I need those asses in front of me, gademit

Confusedcius, you just ran a hard 18-19km during NSL. Kailangan maka-recover ang katawan. Usual reference is 1 day of low activity or rest per MILE of your last race's hard run. So yung 18-19km = about 12 miles so dapat 12 days rest muna, tapos training ulit.

 

Nung 2012 sinalihan ko lahat ng 21km run from October to January 2013. So halos lahat ng weekends may 21k run. Nagtataka ako bakit pasama ng pasama yung time ko. Yun pala kulang ng recovery. Rest is also an important part of the training process. Not enough rest would mean no improvement or very slow improvement.

Yep I agree and just to add. After a long run, you can have a recovery run but in a lower distance after 1-2 days. Let's after your 21km, just go for a chill run for about 3-5km para lang ma-stretch ulet mga muscles mo then have a rest before going to training run again. Hope this helps.

Akala ko kasi after 3 days nung wala nang sakit katawan ko pwede na. I started feb 12 with 1 easy round sa up oval. I ran every 2 days and added 1 oval rotation each run. Umabot na ako nang 10k kahapon kaso my muscles were feeling tight so i had to walk 100 meters for every kilometer i ran.

 

Kaya naman pala andaling mag tighten nung muscles ko at medyo sore ung toes ko.

 

SIge, i'll ease up for 10 more days. Swimming muna, upper body, plus core.

I am in manila na. And scared for tomorrow's run. Kulang na kulang ang mileage. Puros strength training at tummy training.... Also known as L amon. :lol: :lol:

 

So who will be joining tomorrow's FFR? Di na ba katulad last year na paunahan tayo maka reg? Kung di nga ako nireg ng friend ko, di din ako sasama e. Sana lang the 9hour bus travel and the 3 days requested off duty are all worth the run tomorrow. :blush:

 

Syempre... tutuparin na ang marathon dream ngayong taon... 21k-32k-42k... RU1-RU2-RUPM

 

bahala na... may kasabay naman tayong medic na nagngangalang Wyette.. hahahaha

 

Dating gawi nga lang sa RU1. o kung gusto nyo bagong venue naman? Army Navy? hahaha

Sorry, di ako nag reg ng ru1. Busy busyhan ang lola nyo eh. Peromalamang maraming sexy front and back na nursing students sa route. :P :P

 

has anybody tried buko juiceas their source of fluid during a run? Medyo nauumay na ako sa tamis nang gatorade, pocari at lalong lalo na ang powerade.

 

i'm talking about real buko juice taken out of the buko shell. None of that coco-water crap.

 

If buko juices do not give you the peeing-always feeling, the sugar in it will be good. Pero kung oo, please think twice. You will be sweating out and peeing water from your system which can add to dehydration and your cardiac muscles to slow down. Just my thoughts.

 

RU1 21km slots are now CLOSED...

 

Nakakalungkot naman na di kayo makakasama ppdd at confu. (unless magregister kayo sa 10km)

Registered na ako, ineexpect ko na kasi na 1 week ubos agad ang 21km kasi ganyan nangyari sa akin last year...

 

Anyway nakita ko ang NSL pics... base sa pagdescribe ni sir Confu ng mga kasabay nya, e nakilala na kita... hehehe... Bilis mo pala.

PPDD bakit naka Nike singlet ka? hehe

Pahirapan na kasi mag reg e. Kakatamad na.

sakto 1 month na lang sa ru1 medyo kinakabahan ako kasi 1st ko sa 21k distance. ive been training since december at samahan pa ng cross training na crossfit sana matapos ko ng walang injury
