@Kempaf & @ppdd, Congrats on your 21k finish!

Nasisira yung garter after about two+ years.

Hi @wyette! Wow, another Ultra!

I was thinking i could slip in the other 2 holster for longer runs. And slip them out for shorter runs. I had to add 600 though. So total damage ko kahapon was 1,600. Kahit masira ung garter i could just cut them off and slip these in

Trying hardER with ultras sir. Though the one i am contemplating with is a bit tough. Though not as tough as the BDM. Haha

I have not registered yet. Will see my future train runs if i think i will have the guts to try an ultra race again.

... Malagkit na, di pa sila na energize.

another question po. I am thinking of buying a GPS watch. malamang po Garmin.

Sorry. No idea re GPS watches. Alam ko lang mahal ang mga yun.

So it still just the endomondo application for me. May cellphone na akong dala for emergency purposes, may speed, distance monitoring pa. ;) B)

wow congrats papi :) anu next run mo?

Work around is to turn on the device a few minutes before the actual run and to move around so it will get a better location reading, so by the time you are at the starting line, it already has a good fix on your location.

Each brand has its pros and cons. Garmin is really a GPS device manufacturer and it has good readings and requires shorter time in getting a location reading when turned on. Timex takes a long time to get a reading, but has a nicer face. Polar has poor GPS reception when it rains, but has good software for mapping the run. Soleus is good also relative to its price. Seiko also has a unit but haven't seen one yet.

For running, Garmin, Polar and Soleus have good base models with competitive prices. For higher end functionality added (good for triathlon, offers a heart rate monitor, altitude reading, etc), look at Garmin and Timex's line up.

Overall, prices in Manila are 30% higher than outside. The price in Amazon US is about the price of the same item in HK and SG. Another way is if you know someone who belongs to a team sponsored by Garmin or Timex. They can get a good discount.

Hope this helps.

He's even throwing in yung premium strap daw. Me nag offer sa akin ang timex global trainer for 11k pero ANLAKI at aanhin ko naman ung features para sa athletes eh moderate runner at best lang ako.

Kelangan ko atang maging mas technical runner if i am to run sa SUB1 this march. I still need to cut 5 minutes from my current best time. And I have no idea how to do it. Flying lap na nga ako sa last 2k eh 1:04:48 pa rin best time ko. Although sabi nung barkada ko i will be able to run faster sa global city kasi 50% nung rota ko ay hills. i.e.likod nang maynilad.

Check mo yung pinoy fitness site tungkol sa Sub1 10K. May training plan silang nilagay doon.
