Started running again after 2mos+ of not running

2days ako back-to-back na tumakbo for 1-1.5hrs sa Marikina

grabe 1hr lang parang pagod na pagod na ako. and nde ako makatakbo ng dire-diretso

most ko siguro is 5 laps (normal jog) around sa oval na tuloy-tuloy

after nun tigil talga ako

need to get back into shape.. hehe

 

so how was everyone's vacation training? :)

Ngaun po I did run sa beach 4 days na po

 

 

beach compared sa manila run ko mabilis ata ako dito?

 

I'm staying at casa Camilla and jog till Fridays

 

baliktad tayo. ako, i'm slower on the beach. mas mahirap para sa akin. 1 minute per kilmeter ang nadadagdag sa average ko. Plus I have to walk 1 minute after 5 kilometers.

whew! grabe 1st day ng in-store registration ng RU2

 

i was able to register 32k after waiting in line for almost 3hours.. lintek parang tumakbo na ako ng 21k nun ahahaha

masaya naman kasi may kasabayan ako sa pila na taga East side din.. kwela kahit matagal naghintay

 

how is everyone who registered today? grabe daw pila sa lahat ng registration sites...

brooks run happy.

 

I felt great for the full 24k distance of the race. For the first time (4th race) I did not feel the need to run fast. I enjoyed the view, chatted with whoever was beside me, and loved the waterfalls. So I just cruised along on an expensive LSD run. sulit naman kasi may shirt, etc., at me mga bago akong nakilala. These guys and gals were willing to share their drinks and snacks. Kasi sila naka backpack, ako naka handheld na 10 ounce at spibelt na me kakarampot na mashed kamote in a ziplock bag. Unang hirit nung isang kalabaw na beterano... first time mo sa trail?

One thing I realized sa trail running,

You need to watch your step. and you need lots of water. Ilang beses tumiklop ung ankles ko. Buti na lang my musculature was fully prepared and flexible, so zero injury pa rin. Sabi nung isang beternao, small steps parekoy, small steps!

 

Nung pauwi na, wasted na kami walang me gusto mag drive. Ung isa gustong pumuslit sa shuttle kasi me iniistalk. Next time na may takbo sa tanay i think I'll join the shuttle service.

Run United 2 race routes are out!

 

It's basically a straight run and a U-turn for all three race categories.

@boss ppdd pareho tayo ng pakiramdam boss parang kulang ang training runs sobrang init kasi 2 more runs na lang ako tapos siguro race week eh konting cross training at relaxation muna 1st sa 32k sana mag kita tayo mga taga mtc sa ru2

yun nga eh.. mapa gabi or madaling araw, kahit ano oras ako tumakbo eh sobrang init. parang nauubos hininga ko

try ko mag long run ng either sat, sun, or mon.. then pa-cute runs/jog nalang for the rest of the days next week

Question po: I'll be in baguio next week. I haven't really jogged there. I will be near Burnham park. Any good jogging places, say around 5k to 15k long inside a park. Preferably trail running sana, early morning.

Haven't been there in years. You can run around Camp John Hay. The air is fresher there.
