jelly bean
Marami akong friends from the running community na nakatira sa iba't ibang lugar kaya puede kita ipa-guide sa mga running clinics nila.late afternoon sana or early morning. but I know, work schedule conflict if weekdays. so weekends? jelly bean
You can start by walking short distances muna, then gradually build up. That's how most of us started out. A walk to the nearby sari-sari store soon became a walk around the block. After a while, we find ourselves moving faster, from a walking pace to jogging, then running. Then the distance gradually increases. Just like what Forest Gump did. :-)did this actually. I never thought it was possible. jogging/running can be addictive and a lifesaver. Quote Link to comment
MrEnygma
yun oh. talaga ba? Yes Mam dali kayang mag adjust. haha. kaso si papi ppdd e nagpaparehab ng tuhod... haha. Weekend runs ko e either running events or sa MOA or sa subdivision lang (mostly mornings) Quote Link to comment
jelly bean
I usually go around the village din. pero ano kaya to. it feels a bit tight these days. parang cramps na ewan. can't finish my regular route.. Quote Link to comment
MrEnygma
possible causes:- kulang lang sa pre-jog streching / warm up. - lack of hydration- hot weather (lalo ngayon, 28C @ 7am) better to have warm ups muna before you start your routine or run as early as 5am. 3 Quote Link to comment
floppydrive
I usually go around the village din. pero ano kaya to. it feels a bit tight these days. parang cramps na ewan. can't finish my regular route..Are you doing it daily? The body needs to rest and recover also. usually, a day of rest between runs should be enough for the muscles to recover, specially when you're just getting into running. Quote Link to comment
jelly bean
I don't do it every day naman. i just noticed it now, crampy siya. but it's slowly improving. baka phase lang? Quote Link to comment
shin26
Quote Link to comment
ppdd
awwwww.. this is sad news.. nde talaga biro ang 42k. you need to condition your body and mind for the eventRIP dun sa runner May namatay daw sa nat geo 42k event kahapon. Quote Link to comment
MrEnygma
Weather was not friendly last nat geo run. They also mentioned na he's almost at the finish line. Syempre as ppdd says condition your mind and body. Quote Link to comment
artint3
Sir Fernando Torres died of cardiac arrhythmia. Ilang 100kms+ na rin ang natapos nya so definitely heat training is part of his training/routine. Sabi nung isang tumulong sa kanya, more than 30 minutes bago nakarating yung ambulance. Take note, yung namatay nung Condura Skyway Marathon last year eh si Rio din ang organizer. Quote Link to comment
artint3
late afternoon sana or early morning. but I know, work schedule conflict if weekdays. so weekends? may mga teams po na nagco-conduct ng training sa gabi during weekdays. Meron sa Marikina Sports Complex, UP, Ultra, Crame, ATC (Alabang Town Center), CCP, Luneta, Ayala Triangle, BGC.
Hehe. Yup. Quote Link to comment
sOin2you
Quote Link to comment
MrEnygma
miss @sOin2you , medyo nagimprove na sila ngayon. Might run the Backbeat run on May 28 at MOA. dunno the distance I can take... But I will support this run This is a beneficiary run that a classmate organized. Quote Link to comment
