peep_tom
No offense man, Allan Houston was amazing in Detroit & his early career with NYK, his game was amazing. But respect him? No way! Not when he wouldn't retire to help the franchise! He KNEW he couldn't play anymore, but he still sat on the bench collecting his green for damn near 3 years while the payroll of the team got higher and higher. He could have saved them millions had he retired and just accepted a buyout for which he would still get money, he was rich already, but he didn't. Great player, not so great person. The GM Scott Layden was to blame for his huge contract, but Houston is also to blame for keeping his name on they payroll thus hindering the team from getting quality free agents. It's even on SI.com's Top 10 Worst Free Agent Signings! Allan Houston, New York Knicks, 2001: six years, $100 millionThis one seemed like a dog from the get-go. With Chris Webber, Antonio Davis, Dikembe Mutombo and Derek Anderson on the free-agent board, the 30-year-old Houston was barely on the radar in '01. It seemed a lock he would stay in New York -- but for $100 million? It wasn't Houston's fault that Knicks GM Scott Layden seemed intent to bid against himself and wildly overpaid for Houston's services.I just like his style of play man, not really a die hard fan. Kouji Kabuto
Jeffries makes QRich expendable, but Darius Miles?!?!? Quote Link to comment
luol_deng
Jeffries makes QRich expendable, but Darius Miles?!?!? why do u need to ask its Isiah Thomas!!! haha Quote Link to comment
chillout416
I still can't see the logic of getting Steve Francis when they have Marbury already...both are great scoring guards but I don't see them co-existing side by side...maybe they could trade one for a quality big man which they sorely miss. rafer_alston
chillout, I think the reason why they got Stevie Franchise is because they will make him shooting guard while Starbury runs the point though on the rumor block is Stevie will be traded for the weeks to come!! now that they have Jeffries, what's next Isiah Thomas?? Kouji Kabuto
I like Jared Jeffries a lot as a player. So frontline medyo okay na - Jeffries, Frye, Curry (kung tumino), David Lee. Backcourt magulo pa rin. Quote Link to comment
Guest airmax
i used to like this team when they still had ewing, houston, camby, spreewell, childs and LJ Quote Link to comment
boibastos
I like Jared Jeffries a lot as a player. So frontline medyo okay na - Jeffries, Frye, Curry (kung tumino), David Lee. Backcourt magulo pa rin. You know a combo of Curry, Q Rich and Francis and/or Crawford might just be enough to lure a certain guy from Minny over. Then your frontcourt would be more than ok. Save your reputation, Zeke. Quote Link to comment

i_skittles
i hope somebody brings back the old knicks... the blue collar defense style play.. the days of old with oakley, ewing and charles smith.. haha... oh well with the mess Isaiah made.. it will be years before they have enough cap room to move around... anybody who read that article saying that Isaiah should be named executive of the decade? he single-handedly made almost every team in the league better because of his moves in New York... :boo: Quote Link to comment
