Droidz1979
Share ko lang :An ESPN Article by Ian Begley - Playoff picture: 6th still remote possibilityThe Celtics clinched theAtlantic Division title with their win Wednesday over the Magic, but they leftthe Knicks with a small window to catch Orlando for the sixth spot in the East. Orlando's loss left the Magic with a 36-26 record, three games ahead of the Knicks (33-29) with four to play. Orlando's magic number to freeze the Knicks out ofthe No. 6 seed is two. If Orlando wins twice, or New York loses twice, the Knicks will have no chance to finish in sixth. If the Magic win one oftheir next four and the Knicks lose one of their next four, New York can'tfinish in sixth. But if both Orlando and New York finish with thesame record, the Knicks would win the tiebreaker based on head-to-head matchupsthis season (2-1). New York plays at Cleveland (20-41) on Friday andat Atlanta (37-25) on Sunday. The Knicks then host the Clippers (39-23) nextWednesday, and finish with the Bobcats (7-54) in Charlotte the next night. The Magic, playing without DwightHoward and HedoTurkoglu, finish with two back-to-backs. Orlando plays at Utah (32-30) and Denver (34-28)on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, and finishes the year with a home gameagainst Charlotte (7-54) next Wednesday and a road game against Memphis (37-25)next Thursday. Again, Orlando's magic number is two. So twoKnicks losses or two Magic wins -- or a combination of a Magic win and a Knicksloss -- would freeze the Knicks out of the sixth seed. Wednesday's win kept the Knicks a game ahead ofthe 76ers in the race for seventh place. The Knicks also gained a game on theninth-place Bucks, moving 3 1/2 games up on Milwaukee with four to play. Droidz1979
They're going to face the Cavaliers soon. Amare is said to be playing on this game although so is Kyrie Irving for the Cavs.. hope the Knicks won't relax on this game and aim for the 6th seed where they could either face the Pacers on that round. It's a young team that they could surely handle and hope that J-Lin will be back late in the first round or at the 2nd round. Quote Link to comment

linsanity
Its just unacceptable for knicks to lose to cavs. Did irving even played? Quote Link to comment
rickyfred
pasok na naman ang NYK nasa 8 spot pa din sila. Quote Link to comment
linsanity
pasok na naman ang NYK nasa 8 spot pa din sila.Knicks cant settle just for the 8th spot. They still have the chance to get the 6th playoff spot. It would even position the team to win in the first rnd if pacers get the 3rd the seed. Quote Link to comment
Droidz1979
Its just unacceptable for knicks to lose to cavs. Did irving even played? Yap he did.. they played Chandler sparingly on that game probably to rest him for the various injuries he is suffering and if am not mistaken Jeffries also did not play. Good thing they stole one against the Hawks on the road with a score of 113 vs 112 where Chandler did not play that probably resulted to a high scoring ball game with not that much D. Definitely the key for the Knicks is D and they need a healthy Chandler and a serviceable Jeffries for that together with Amare getting his mojo back soon enough and hopefully, fingers crossed, J-Lin Guess they'll be stuck at 7th seed at best since they own the tiebreaker if their record will be same as the 76ers and probably face the Heat on the first round... definitely not an ideal situation unless the Bucks lose another game while the Knicks intentionally lose a couple of games to go down to 8th seed and face the Bulls.
