tomward
Salamat sa links. I'd like to share this youtube link that just shows how a simple piece when interpreted by a master becomes a masterpiece. Sa mga nag aral ng music this is a level 1 voice piece. It is given to all freshmen pero I've never heard it sung this well. performed by montserrat caballe, Caro Mio Ben by Giordani click here Quote Link to comment

tomward
salamat. I really enjoyed maestro pavarotti's rendition. Ngayon ko lang napanood ito but I prefer the female timbre for this piece (cguro dahil frustrated soprano ako hahaha) We lost such a great tenor. Quote Link to comment
ericdraven
I like listening to 1812 Overture by Peter Ilich Tschaikovsky, New World Symphony by Antonin Dvorak, Scheherazade by Rimsky-Korsakoff, Fiddler on the Roof, William Tell Overture etc. I also dig in modern classical composers such as John Williams and Bill Conti. :thumbsupsmiley: Quote Link to comment
purrtypwincess
Claude Debussy's Claire De Lune is by the far the best classical music composition for me. (And not because it was played at the Twilight movie. Haha) Super relaxing and would definitely give you peace of mind. Quote Link to comment

May I recommend American mezzo-soprano Jennifer Larmore. She's an ageless beauty with an equally fabulous voice. Here's a video of Ombra Mai Fu (from Handel's Xerxes): And she speaks fluent French to boot. That's so sexy! Quote Link to comment

Lord Superb
Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake Ballet. This piece was sampled by the legendary hip-hop producer and rapper Rza of Wu-Tang Clan, in the song Black Star Lineup. Now I don't know if this belongs to classical music, (some would classify it as New Age or esoteric music) but I definitely love the works of Thomas de Hartmann and the Russian mystic George Ivanovitch Gurdjieff. cocoy0
I'd like to thank the group of violin students practicing at the top floor of Robinson's near Tandang Sora for giving me some needed relaxation. You gave me peace of mind for that afternoon listening to old Romanian dances. Quote Link to comment
