Misteryotao
how much is a reasonable all in budget if a firsttimer plans to visit tokyo or osaka for 4 days and 3 nights?Cost of living in Japan is quite similar to Singapore. If you travel to Japan, it can be expensive. But if you know plan and research all the stuff you do. You can probably avoid spending too much. Just look on what did this guy did. http://www.thepoortraveler.net/2017/05/osaka-kyoto-tokyo-sample-itinerary/ Quote Link to comment
travelmassage
Try booking your stay through AirBnB. I got mine cheap and loved the traditional Japanese house in Kyoto. Very convenient. In Fukuoka, try to see rates of Court Hotel. It was reasonably near the Eki and Was just a block away from Canal Malls. Quote Link to comment
Misteryotao
Sapporo kaya?Unless you're into nature stuff or planning a ski trip in the winter season. I don't recommend Sapporo. But i do recommend going there in October. Sapporo beer is made in Sapporo, thus it's fun to go there for Octoberfest. Quote Link to comment
calmado
Winter is best at Lake Kawagujiko, best view of Mt. Fuji. You can take a day trip to Fujiten snow resort from there to learn to ski or snow board or just for really nice white winter pics. Quote Link to comment
Djbogo
Snow Monkeys in Nagano, Edo Wonderland in Nikko, Emperor's palace in Tokyo, Gadgets and Anime stuff in Akihabara and Nakano, Late Night Parties in Roppongi...too many to list. For naughtiness and other stuff. YGPM or just reply back here... 1 Quote Link to comment
santeb
I don't know how prevalent Japanese only are in Karaoke clubs and girlie bars, but was always told Japanese only in all girlie clubs and bars I tried to go in. Went to Filipino owned ktv, but girls were married Filipinas not quite young and sexy. Since going out to girlie bars a favorite past time, did not enjoy stay at all. Japanese waitress in bikini already had a draft beer to give me in a 5000 yen all you can drink beer in a bikini bar but was still told sorry Japanese only by male supervisor all be it in a very polite way. Could not wait to get out of Japan. Hotel rooms very tiny. Heated toilet seat impressive, though. Quote Link to comment

Misteryotao
Anyone here who's tried a Japanese escort?Unless you can speak their language you won't go far. There are sites that cater to foreigners but i wouldn't recommend it because it's expensive. Also if you're roaming the seedy parts of Tokyo like Kabukicho or Roppongi. Do not get lured in by barkers in the street. They'll give what they promised but more likely they eat your travel money because of drinks or some other charges. There are plenty of women in the streets who are willing to give you a good time. Most of them are wandering near love hotels. And the prices are negotiable. The only caveat is that you need to speak their language to negotiate. And there's soaplands which probably your best bet. You can google that yourself. Because that's i got my information on soaplands long ago. Edited October 3, 2017 by Misteryotao Quote Link to comment
