How About Japan (tokyo, Kyoto, And Other Cities

Recommended Posts

Just got back from Kyoto and Osaka with quick side trips to Matsuyama, Hiroshima, and Nara. Definitely amazing place to visit, especially Kyoto. 3 days is definitely not enough to see and absorb all of its beautiful places. I got tired because I was walking and hiking to all the different spots trying to squeeze 2-3 attractions a day to make my trip worth it. In the end, I my legs and back were tired from all the walking but hey, at least I got my money's worth

anyone been to any soaplands in the shinjuku/kabukicho area? how was it? was planning to go to MAX Shinjuku during my visit but didn't have time

I wanted to as well, but was paranoid that I’d get ripped off or maybe framed-up since that’s a thing that happened to some gaijins.

same sentiments. their asakusa branch is apparently good, so i was planning on going to max as a safe bet, but didn't hear anything about the shinjuku branch. i checked with their LINE though and they said that foreigners were welcome any time but couldn't make reservations. there were also some other "foreigner-friendly" soaps on that street, and some nice looking cafes.

might try it on my next visit to tokyo, or tbh i might just get robo deli or any of the other outcalls on yoasobi-heaven. i don't mind a slightly higher price if you know what you're getting for the most part.

Kyoto is such a cool place! The temples and gardens are absolutely gorgeous, especially when the cherry blossoms are in bloom or the leaves change colors in fall. Wandering the historic streets and trying out the local food makes it feel like a fun adventure every time!

Japan is the only country where I feel safe enough to travel solo. I've visited three times and spent time in Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, Nagoya, and Tokyo. I always go in November and December when the weather is pleasantly cool. I love doing my Christmas shopping there, and the lit-up trees that line Omotesando are such a vibe.
