A dedication to my Ilongga babe (modified lyrics):

Goodbye, sunshine
Oh, the more I wait, the less the time is mine
As new fades to old
Watch the truth reveal the less I want to know

Old habits die hard tonight
Every damn night
Struggling through life
Holding on to the wrong end of the knife
Oh, things are gonna be alright
Even though they may seem hard at first sight
Read as they might
Words that spark fights
I believe
The dark will find the light

Goodbye, sunshine
Celebrating the good times
We played our parts
And those were the breaks
So maybe some things were hard
It was so worth the good, goddamn
But all things end
I can't have you but
Some things are better off

Everybody wants to blame it all on luck
But maybe everybody's trying to pass the buck
So, when the blame falls in on us
Do what you must to earn the time of your life

Lady

I know you're here with me somehow

Lately

It feels the future's left me out

Wait for the curtains to fall on your past

How could I be so certain this

Would be the last

Place I came so close

To be the one you chose?

Endings don't come any easier

As I needed one, you stole the sun

Caught in the flare, we were amateurs

Scared to get burned as time slowly

Turns to the unknown

I corner my confidence

And together, we break the mold

Save me

I fear I'm drowning in my doubt

Hold me

My time is quickly running out

Your hand's the only one I hold

And together, we'll break the mold

You're my only need

I'd relieve our worst days over

For one inch closer

I just want you to stay here with me

Modern Women Don’t Love Men—They Love What Men Provide

Every man dreams of a woman who loves him for him—for his mind, his vision, even his flaws.

But the modern woman?

She doesn’t love the man.

She loves the access.

The lifestyle.

The benefits.

She doesn’t love you.

She loves what you bring to the table.

She claims men are tasteless.

But her only taste is for your wallet.

Let’s break it down.

1. She Doesn’t Love You—She Loves the Lifestyle

Take away the dinners, the trips, the gifts—

and watch how fast the “love” disappears.

She was never invested in you.

She was invested in the access you provided.

And when you stop providing?

She won’t just leave—

She’ll blame you for not being “enough.”

2. She Loves the Status—Not the Sacrifice

She sees the car you drive,

the house you bought,

the people you move with.

What she doesn’t see?

The late nights.

The sleepless stress.

The scars you earned building it all.

She loves the crown,

but mocks the blood it cost you.

And the moment you ask her to add effort?

She switches up.

3. She Loves You Only on the Good Days

She claps when you’re winning.

But the moment the cards flip,

and life gets hard?

She withdraws her “love.”

She plays the victim.

She starts rehearsing her exit.

Her loyalty was never to you.

It was to the lifestyle you sustained.

4. She Wants the Benefits—Never the Burdens

Life has seasons:

Some sunny, some stormy.

But the modern woman only shows up for the sunshine.

Tell her she may have to endure the storm,

and she’ll tell you,

“I wasn’t born to suffer.”

She wants the gold,

without surviving the fire that forges it.

5. She Loves What You Do—Not Who You Are

Here’s the truth men avoid:

If your money, status, or authority disappeared tomorrow—

would she still be there?

For most modern women, the answer is no.

She’ll leave with excuses:

“He changed.”

“He’s a deadbeat.”

“I deserve better.”

But the truth?

She was never in love with you.

She was in love with what you could provide.

Final Word

Modern women don’t fall in love with men.

They fall in love with benefits.

And the man she swears she “can’t live without” today—

will be replaced tomorrow by one who provides more.

Men, remember this:

If her love has a price tag,

it was never love in the first place.

Napagod
Binigay ang lahat, naubos
Sorry nasaktan kita
Sinubukan naman natin
Salamat
Take care of yourself
