peterparker
adult, about 40 year old. Risks/Complications As with all surgical procedures, there is a risk for bleeding and infection when performing a circumcision. Other risks include severe bruising (hematoma), poor cosmetic result, and a change in sensation during sex. Complications that can occur following adult circumcision may include the following: Buried penis (penile shaft buried below the surface of the pubic skin) Chordee (abnormal downward bend of the penis) Complications from the anesthetic Meatal stenosis (narrowing of the urine channel [urethra] at the top of the penis) Poor cosmetic appearance Skin bridges (foreskin reattaching to the glans) Tearing of the sutures, usually due to erection :mtc: Edited April 30, 2009 by peterparker Quote Link to comment
powerpuffgirls
ok pa din ba ang "pukpok" tuli procedure? It was my big brother used to say when i asked him,ano procedure sa kanya. ouch... la pang anesthesia sa kanya that time... docs, my nephew will be turning 9 next year, how will i know if he is ready for circumcision?.... Will it be proper for a nurse to do the procedure since here in our place (tertiary hospital) i sometimes see nurses do the suturing... Edited August 25, 2009 by powerpuffgirls Quote Link to comment

daxmd
Traditionally, circumscision is done on the summer before entering first-year high school. That way, the boy's penis is large enough to be manipulated and mahihiya syang pumasok ng hindi pa tuli. But nowadays, it's only done for traditional purposes. Quote Link to comment
daxmd
Traditionally, circumscision is done the summer before entering first-year HS. For one the boy's penis would be large enough to be manipulated so to speak and he would be embarrased to go to school not yet circumcised as compared to his classmates. But nowadays it's only done for tradional reasons. Quote Link to comment
audiman
not having been circumcised never did me any harm! The presence of the foreskin adds a certain something, IMO, during masturbation. Circumcision & vasectomy - can the two operations be performed on the same day?If you need or the other, make sure you give the right word............. Quote Link to comment

romyg
circumcision also has hygienic effect both for the man and his partner...studies have shown that HPV the virus that cause cervical cancer among women is higher among uncircumcised male....hence magpatuli na kayo.. Quote Link to comment
erwinrommel
Pero hindi necessary na magpatuli. Proper hygene is till best wether circumsiced or not. Tradition lang natin ang nagdidictate na dapat tayo mag pa circumcise. Quote Link to comment
AdmiralKizaru
tama tama, for hygiene lang talaga...pag hindi ngpatuli, dami kupal.. Quote Link to comment
the_passerby5981
Circumcision is culture-bound. Ours is a culture that expects it in every male. It is also a rite of passage when a male member (pun intended) is finally proclaimed as an adolescent by its immediate communities (home, school, etc.). Popularly, it has something to do with hygiene, where the circumcised is said to have clean-smelling penises. Quote Link to comment
erwinrommel
The patient should always be given the choice kung gusto nya mag pa tuli or hindi. Kaya hindi dapat tinutulian ang mga bata below 15 yrs old. The school should teach the children about this. Dami na nag papatuli na nagkakaroon ng psychological problems dahil takot na takot mag patuli at na pilit lang ng parents or because of peer pressure.
