Jacknife
I want to upgrade my 5D mark II, my camera since 2009, I have couple of lenses but I'm not heavily invested in Canon brand. Any suggestions on what the nxt upgrade would be suitable. Weekends/vacations/occasion photos lang, nothing professional ang use ko. I'm leaning on mirrorless, it seems doon papunta ang market, but my 1st choice is 5D mark IV. Kasi kabisado ko na on how to navigate sa 5D line. Quote Link to comment

Sony is a good choice. kung kaya ng budget, full frame like a7III or a7C then kung crop sensor, a6400 or a6600 ma recommend ko. hehe. sa Sony full frame lens, kung 3rd party brand, suggest ko Tamron 24-70mm F/2.8. sa crop sensor lens, Sigma DCDN 30mm 1.4 or 16mm 1.4 kung mejo wide shots trip mo for vacation photos 👍 Quote Link to comment

I have no experience sa Sony cameras, pero I've checked some comparisons. Baka biased sa ako kasi been using Canon since Rebel xt. Pero price wise, mas ok ang Sony. I'll have to do more research, baka may settings to compensate sa colors. Thanks again. TrueLife_FunLife
Uy may thread palang ganito. I used to be a freelance photographer who cover events and destinations. My last project was 2018 and after that, my primary work got in the way. Then when everything was manageable with work, the pandemic hit. I sold all my cameras and lenses during the pandemic and used the proceeds for investments. I plan to start fresh by next year. I'm eyeing on Fuji since I'm more of a photographer than a videographer. Hands down to Sony for the video quality. Quote Link to comment

Since, your already invested on the Canon system, try mo lang din ang R6 mirrorless nila, puwede ka pa din gumamit ng mga EF lenses, just get a nice adaptor, may mga 3rd party na okay...Im currently using the MKIV, galing din ako sa MKII, though, not profesionally pero i used it also on "Some Assignments". Sayang ang DPP kung na abutan mo...oh well...Goodluck with the hobby... 1 Quote Link to comment

cooldadcharlie
Dream ko to be a Nat Geo photographer but my 1st gig was with a Japanese publication yun lang pro bono but it did have my name on the articles so pwede na . happy na ako. Canon EOS is my choice of weapon, need to use slide film kasi publication . got it from Fuji Film office at Sto. Domingo QC tapos yun near expiration para mura lang . then doon din yun processing . Then transfer to digital Canon EOS camera din gamit bec of the lens and extender I had na. with digital, shoot all you want then yun gratification of seeing your shots are immediate unlike sa film na imaging mo lang kuha mo then have to wait for processing before makita yun actual .Iba yun discipline ng film compare to digital. sa analog you take your time to compose unlike sa digital banat lang ng banat .
