Unwritten
great shots and you have very steady hands Nah... this too I can't take credit for. VR helps! it allows you some wiggle room Quote Link to comment
Regg168
Low light shots will really benefit if you can use a tripod or even a monopod. Quote Link to comment

glut_func
any stable and firm surface can be a suitable alternative for tripods... ikalso mo yung camera mo sa bote ng softdrinks pwede na yan, angle shots na lang .... Quote Link to comment
wheeljack
Hello. Looking to get my first digital camera primarily for figure (action figure and toys) photography. Currently torn between the Sony a5000 and a6000. Is the electronic view-finder and hotshoe availability (a6000) enough of a reason to get over price (a5000) to start and learn photography? try both cameras out and determine how they feel in your hand because the camera is just a tool. you are the one who can make the pictures turn out well. glut_func
praktis ka muna using just your camera phone (assuming you already have one) bago ka bumili ng ganyan.
I hear with regards to that. I actually have a capable smartphone camera. May simpleng pandaya dyan actually that can improve your shots - lighting. Mag DIY ka using your camera phone tapos patayin mo ilaw sa room and use a flashlight acting as spotlight for your subject. May dating na mga kuha mo that way. Quote Link to comment
glut_func
Well, the word "photo" in photography literally means light after all. I would strongly urge you to read up stuff about photography muna bago ka bumili ng actual camera. Kahit fundamentals lang para magka-idea ka on what to do. You need to have a good understanding muna talaga on what you're supposed to do para alam mo kung tama ba o mali ang ginagawa mo. There are tons of free stuff online that you can refer to so take your time lang talaga - that's exactly how i learned how to shoot anyway. Quote Link to comment
wheeljack
Yeah. Looks like I still would need to do a lot of reading and watching tutorials before making an actual purchase of a camera. you never really stop learning. there is always something that you can improve or even a new genre you can try your hand in Quote Link to comment
glut_func
Yeah. Looks like I still would need to do a lot of reading and watching tutorials before making an actual purchase of a camera. not really a lot. Just start lang with the fundamentals ng craft and everything else will just be easy. Wag mo i-pressure sarili mo na you need to be good agad kasi mababasag ang creative flow mo nun, madali ka ngayon mawawalan ng gana. Just experiment and read up at your own pace. glut_func
Kainis eh. Parang scale model building. Haha! Anyway, there's channel that I follow and the host is an actual teacher so I pick up a lot of important things every now and then when a new video is uploaded so, yeah. On the right track naman so far. Haha. Ganito, para mawala ang cravings mo to go out and buy a new camera I suggest pag praktisan mo muna yung camera na meron ka kahit pa cam phone lang yan. But if you really insist on getting a camera, maraming second hand dyan na mura - im actually selling mine pero baka hindi ka pa ready in using a dslr type of cams. Quote Link to comment
glut_func
The thing is, iba kapag hindi mo hawak ang screen to take a photo, hehe. Risky bumili ng second hand pero its up to you naman kasi kikilatisin mo naman if ever. Quote Link to comment
glut_func
And most importantly, since your subject is a toy person try shooting it full body at naka-sentro. Quote Link to comment
glut_func
ISO mababa dahil brightly lit yun lugar. Aperture fixed so wala ako control dun. Nag-gray out din pala yun exposure levels kapag nag-manual focus ako for some reason. Actually, hindi talaga sha magmu-mura (and mura is sometimes subjective). Going back to your shot, ok yan na nag experiment ka ng timpla depending on your situation. Atleast nasasanay ka kahit konti. Another thing you need to consider is yung framing din, iwasan mo lang yung excessing frames tulad nung sa bandang ulo ng figure medyo maluwag yung taas nya. As for the blurry part, hindi magiging blurry yan pag nasa 1/30 and above ang shutter speed.
