been wanting to get back into this hobby pero tinatamad ako... since wala ako makitang maayos na photoshoots dito sa pinas subukan ko kaya mag macro ulit...

i admire macro enthusiasts who can shoot bugs without it flying away...tried that before pero nahirapan ako, i even researched for the best lens and techniques pero hindi ko afford so i stuck with stills na lang pati objects. Tapos crop na lang then enhance ng konti sa post.

kung finicky critters ang target mo, then you need longer macro lenses :-)

yeah, i knew about that, tried looking for 180mm lenses back in SG pero masyado mahal sa price range ko so nag settle ako sa 90mm na tamron. Talo talo na lang sa subject at presentation haha... bahala na kung mapangitan yung titingin lols

for me, stress-reliever lang to, i don't care what other people say about my photos :-)

tyaga lang din ako sa Sigma 105 kasi yan lang din kaya ng budget.

honestly, i never really put my photos out publicly - not really bec im shy about showing them or not that i think they're really panget but rather ayoko manakaw yung tira at concept ko... some pinoy shooters can be really "feelingers" when it comes to their shots. Coz of this why i chose to stay away from pinoy photog groups like a plague back in SG.

Good thing you avoided them, hahaha.

 

Although meron din naman positive vibe kung nasa group, lalo na pag newbie. Just don't rely on the group.

i like to rephrase my last post: hindi lang feelingers sa shots ang ibang pinoy photog but rather feelingers talaga TOWARDS other photog's works and even in general. Back when I was still a member of an FB pinoy photog group and dami ko gusto comment tungkol sa mga ganung photog lalo na sa mga post nila pero i decided na umalis na lang sa group. Besides, sino ba naman ako kundi isang hamak na hobbyist lang di ba? Tsaka mahirap na, don't wanna hit a nerve na rin - they can get real salty once their "creative" freedom gets under scrutiny.
