Both if you can afford it, add a handheld as well (Switch/Steamdeck).

Console if limited funds, will need to pay extra for multiplayer access for most games.

I've been a PC gamer mainly since the PS4 generation. With the Steam Deck and similar high spec handhelds, there's really a lot of possibilities for that to be a gamer's main system in another few revisions.
