chessboxin
During the late 90s up to the early 2000's, this was as popular as mobile legends these days. Everyone was playing it and it was darn easy to liquidate your cards. Now barely any of the Gen Zs play it. Kakaunti na lang at puro millenials na lang. A lot of millenials also shifted to MTG Arena. Almost impossible to liquidate cards these days due to the very small player base. Kung may deck ka, swerte ka na if you can recover 25% of its value. I stopped at Worldwake when I noticed the price creep and the dwindling player scene. Beautiful game, bad environment. MTG Arena you cannot recover your investment at all. If you pour 20K in it, there's no exit or cash out pag ayaw mo na. Physical MTG naman, it's just the same players, mostly with body odor pa. They barely get new players. Maybe this is just the old guy in me talking, pero pag nadaanan mo kasi yung golden era ng MTG, mawawalan ka ng gana maglaro these days. Quote Link to comment

Aside sa tumaas na card prices, wala na rin playing buddies. Masyado ng magastos especially if you're playing tournaments since most tournaments, Standard. Need lagi mag update ng deck. Tapos mga special events like Pre-release and Grand Prix. But still, good old memories. Mas masaya talaga yung MTG community noon vs ngayon for my own opinion. Quote Link to comment

martbogard
Nalala ko naging controversial yung Alpha/Beta card ng Unholy strength dahil sa pentagram sa background nito 😅. Quote Link to comment
